  1. Thats exactly what mine did when the fuel pump packed it in. have fun
  2. You can use the stock pathfinder steering box. No worries. Been running mine for 8 years on 38's
  3. ok, cool. you should be ok then. however, if you want to run any larger than a 33" tire, your not going to have enough gear.. example. to get back to stock ratio with 36" tires, you need to go to 5.38:1
  4. question, I assume your asking this to do a SAS. what tires you running?
  5. In addtion, with the old fords, quite often you saw a STOCK 9" and D44 combo of 3.5:1 and 3.55:1. this is .05 in actual ration difference, with what you are talking about is only . 06. (4.56-4.62)
  6. you guys are not correct. the difference is only. .98%. up to 1.5 % is acceptable. for example, Ford gears. Front Dana 44- 5.38, closest matching gear 5.43 (for the ford 9" in the rear). This has been done for YEARS. I used to run it in my rig. Run it.
  7. for doing sheet metal that would be fine. if your going to do any "fab work" you need a 220 machine, but don't get a stick welder if your doing sheet metal and just learning.. VERY difficult.
  8. called Ruff country and asked where the hell my heim joints are. that is all.
  9. you can put 4 quarts in these pigs with no issues. when i change my oil, it gets 4 quarts. when i have oil pressure i worry, cuase i never do.. the sending unit is bad. if your lifters were not tapping, don't worry about it. i bet its a sending unit with a loose wire.
  10. they are not even bolts, they are screws on the valve cover.. they come loose all the time, just snug them up.
  11. ordered new hiem joints through out, and new front suspension bushings.
  12. if your paying over 50 bucks for a front d30, your getting ripped off. i find them all day long for under 100. nobody wants them.
  13. oh, my missunderstanding. I though he was going to pull a manual tranny and install an auto. I'll shut up now.
  14. quick search on autozone and found them.
  15. personnally, i wouldn't put an auto in it.. and the likely hood of you needing a new tranny is about ZERO. for the most part, the nissan manual trannies don't fail. Min stock manual has over 365k on it. the nissan autos are not known for being a good tranny.
  16. nice, but 1 problem you are going to have is your slider.. hard to get in the right position, 1 full turn or 3/4 turn on a left right thread setup is ALOT. I know when i turn mine 1 turn, its out of whack.
  17. This ones for my homey..(pors some cheap bear on the ground) we'll get your rig fixed up. You'll always be remembered.
  18. i was going to say carpet.. but you already got that. when you get rid of the ifs, if you do, it will also remove weight, (the nissan ifs is heavier than a d44)
  19. the light switch is like 75 bucks at north shore nissan, i bought one when i was living up there.. FYI.
  20. limiting straps are your friend. they can be had for 25 bucks a piece.
  21. all engines. there is no difference between the vg30i and the vg30e, except induction, flow rating in the heads and timing belt. they are the same engine.
  22. same fuse on the 87"s check that ive had it happen
