Does sound like a bad sending unit. Sitting in gas for 20 years probably takes a toll on it lol. Both my gauges on my two pathfinders have always read a little low. Takes about 65-70 liters when the light comes on.

He has a 95, so the cruise control is on the steering wheel. I'm betting your problem is the contact ring, you can take the wheel off and clean the contacts, that worked on my old pathy. But some people end up having to make spacers for theirs. For the starter I would check the connections at the battery, the starter, and check the ignition switch. If nothing else, then I would say you got a crappy reman starter. Happens a lot.

If you are towing you should have the OD off, unless it is an extremely light trailer. This will prevent it from changing gears all the time.

I dont think you need to remove the oil pump as it just slides over the shaft. Just be real careful putting it on. I had bought one of those for my rear main seal but didnt end up needing it.

Is it possible you have a bad tire or wheel in both sets?

Drill some holes and use nuts/bolts? Just make sure you seal them off.

Well the service manual says that there should be 0 end play. So I'd say if you can feel play, there is too much.

My duratracs do the same thing except at 50-60mph. No joke.

Look at the front of it. looks like it was in an accident. 6 digit ontario plates too! Probably original owner! And the odo looks like it says 42,000km. Now I'm depressed.

Pressure test the cooling system. Check to make sure you didn't hook a coolant line to a pcv line or something!

Looking at his signature picture, it looks like his front end is at stock height and his rear springs are sagging a bit.

Cheapest I was able to get here was 350 bucks.

In the manual it says the ebrake adjusts the drums.

Actually overdrive is 4th gear. The tc lockup is just to further lower the rpm and keep it constant to save fuel.

Hey man, the wheel bearing locknut should only be tight enough that there is no play when the tire is on and you wiggle it by hand. No more than that. Pretty much finger tight.

For the bearings grab the tire at 12 and 6, and try and wiggle it. If you get any movement, you have loose bearings. Then spin the tire and put your hand on a metal part. If the bearings are bad you will feel it through a metal part that connects to the hub (such as the strut). I have used this method to find bad bearings on a few cars.

I dont think it holds anything, but I could be wrong. Mine has been messed up for a while now but doesn't make noise

The steering box is adjustable. Just be very careful when doing it. Here is more info on that: http://beergarage.com/PathSteerGear.aspx The rear axle seal, there are two of them, one you just need to unbolt the axle shaft and slide it out, to access the seal, the other one is the grease seal and I think you need to mess with the rear bearings to do that one.

To be honest I have seen brand new timing belts that look like that, if you're talking about the red cord showing.
