Will Rough Country D21 2" lift UCA's work with a Pathfinder?
adamzan replied to Backpacker's topic in The Garage
Lol they are the same parts. Just a different colour. -
Wiggle the fusible links on the battery, check them to see if they're corroded in the connector, or burnt.

I have driven a couple of SAS'd pathfinders. One was done "right". The other was done, I wouldn't say wrong, I would just say without experience. Let me tell ya. The difference is staggering. The one done right I was hard pressed to tell the difference from an IFS pathy. Drove great. The other wallowed and wandered everywhere and felt like I was going to die at any speed above 40km/h.

Actually, that's a lie. Because one of the wires got pulled out of my door switch connector, and the dome/floor lights don't come on and neither does the light on the dash. But the key ring light still comes on when the door is open. So I think it actually has it's own circuit! Weird. I'd confirm for you but I'm currently in italy lol
-
It's on the same circuit as the dome/floor courtesy lights.

Mine has the lighted key ring, came with it. I think you can still buy the part from Nissan. Last time I remember it was like 30 bucks.

Chasing an intermittent but consistent sputter

you can probably fix the odometer by removing the cluster, and tightening the brass screws on the back of it slightly, they are the ground points. I've fixed several "bad" clusters this way. You could even go as far as to remove the screws and use contact cleaner on the thin board with the contacts. -
In this thread, broken timing belt...

I feel like VG33E are "less" interference than VG30E. I have not heard of many 3.0 surviving a break, but a lot of 3.3L. Between the Xterra and pathy alike. -
I believe it is a counterweight so when you use the column adjustment, the motion is smooth.

I would still rather use a used oem pump (or new if they still make them). The OE manufacturer is atsugi. -
I went there once. Never went back I used to live about 30 minutes from there. The time I went there were a few pathfinders. One of them was on 35" swampers and was trailered to the park.

With the hoses the kit came with, the options are right by the fuel filter, or in the wheel well, in front of the tire. The factory filter still fits on the kit, or you can use the PH8A size filter. I think it's a Ford V8 Filter. I didn't do an oil change at the time and i had to add 1/2 a litre to top it up. So now I can put 4 litres in at each change. After I installed the kit, the oil light was on for about 10 seconds. Got a little nervous but no clattering from the lifters or anything so I think it is fine. Goes out instantly now.

Yes, figure out why. My parents r50 went well over 300k km on the original converters, never an issue... Yours also could have been bad for a while, but the old sensor was @!*% and wasn't picking it up. Great if you want to run headers, lol. Misfires, running too rich (due to misfires or bad primary o2, or other sensors), and burning oil destroy converters. They are technically designed to last the life of the car, they don't just "go bad". They just get destroyed by other issues that most people don't notice right away. Unfortunately once that code comes up there isn't much you can do short of replacing them. Don't fall for any of that cleaning your cat BS. You want to be very careful with the manifold converters. On my Xterra they came apart and scored the cylinder wall of my engine. Which = massive oil consumption.

When you drop the rad you have to cut the rad support and weld/bolt in the drop down so if you can avoid it...Well it wouldn't be the worst thing. Today I installed my oil filter relocation kit, 7 years after I got it, and 1 pathfinder later lol.

You could use supercharged Xterra injectors? -

That's funny, same happened to me. One was good for years, the other lasted only a few months. I assume it has to do with my driving habits at the time. More day or night driving. -
If they fit correctly, and you don't live where @!*% rusts, they will last a long time.
-
That's too bad. They worked out great for me.

Relace Starter Motor in WD21 for the real world.

Just rotate it as your pulling it out. It should come out no problem. Going back in will be easy. -
Free is for me my 1995 wd21 budget build

I like that. My parking brake doesn't work anyways. Too bad there isn't a leather bench to match the rear seats! (on mine at least) -

Stock exhaust? You could pry the heat shield on the pipe out of the way a little. The way I did it was use more extensions and go from further back to get a better angle. -

Good luck, I have never installed an oil pump so I'm not the guy to ask, but hopefully the new one serves you well. -
To be fair, most dealers don't do that anywhere. They will outsource it to a local transmission/drive train shop. But they should have done that instead. The only time I call Nissan is for parts. Domestic and German vehicles keep mechanics in business. At least that's what the garage I use says, lol. When I had my X in for the inspection he said this is like the 4th time he's ever worked on one!

OEM nissan pump, or aftermarket? Aftermarket parts are such @!*% these days. I'd rather take my chances with used/lower mileage nissan pump. -
