  1. Hubs, lego's, 100% will fit. The rear ends are the same, minus the spring mounts. Skid plates you may be able to mod to fit. I have an Xterra and like it. I have the 5 speed supercharged version and it is fun to drive.
  2. Sounds like 1. you need a new mechanic. 2. If it IS the converters, and they were replaced, they should have warranty. If not, well you're SOL there. So you clear the codes and it runs fine for a bit? If the converters are plugged bad enough it will run like @!*% all the time. Sounds like to me you have a wiring issue. But seriously, find a new garage.
  3. I have an Iphone but all the "Good" apps are for android. I just keep my old galaxy S3 in the truck for use with the obd2 adapter.
  4. I would take Champion over Autolite, that is for damn sure. My lawnmower has run well for many years with Champion plugs.
  5. Yeah, people boost the VG all the time and never have issues. Could have even been a problem that was there forever, but was exaggerated by the turbo.
  6. I bought a Delco Remy alternator, sure it was twice the price of the parts store rebuilt, but it has lasted 3 years (of wheeling seasons) so far...
  7. Really? I have always run the BKR6EY plug and have never had any issues. Truck runs great, with good mileage for what it is. Theoretically ANY plug that is the right heat range will work fine, for example the garage that installed my new engine in my Xterra, used Delco plugs. It runs great, so I'll leave it, but NGK is what Nissan calls for and what it will work best with.
  8. With the 3.5L you are probably okay. I would try the tires and see how it feels.
  9. I have 3" of lift and have never had an issue with the CV axles. I run 33" tires and a little common sense on the trails (don't let the tires spin to 50mph and then grab traction). I replaced the originals 5 years ago due to torn boots but that is it. I would not worry about it.
  10. This is the proper repair. Common problem, relatively easy fix if you're handy. No need to remove the LCA. Just the 2 bolts that hold the rod, and the big nut on the end of the rod (it's a 24mm or 15/16" wrench you'll need). I found poly bushings really firmed up the ride, if you don't like it too rough, stick with oem rubber ones.
  11. The auto hubs are nice for a street driven truck that you use in the winter, no getting out in the cold to lock them. If you wheel a lot, the manual hubs are 1000X better. No more unlocking when trying to rock the truck, or having it slam into 4wd when the hubs decide to lock. Plus no one ever lubed them right so in the cold they would stick and not disengage.
  12. You might get lucky and find a colour matched fender at the wreckers. Not bad for free at all. Weird how the rad is cracked but the AC still works? The Rad is behind the AC condenser lol.
  13. The fuel lines are 5/16". Not sure if you can get the sending unit from nissan anymore. They weren't too expensive on their own, like 70 dollars or something. Best bet would be a junkyard. I'm sure there are still ton's of wd21s around in BC, at least I saw a lot when I was there last year haha.
  14. I would leave the evap and PCV. They don't hurt performance at all and smelling gas would be annoying. I would put a catch can on the PCV system if blow-by is an issue. EGR, I left mine alone as it works fine and to be honest I would focus on more offroad performance mods. Do what you want with the cat converter, a purely offroad (trailered) rig it may be better to delete it as they can cause grass fires. But the o2 sensor you need for the motor to run properly. Without it, the oil will dilute with fuel and that will kill the rings/walls quickly.

  17. You should do some tests to confirm if it is actually the head gasket. There is a tester that can go in the radiator and will tell you if exhaust is in the coolant.

  19. I have a set of calipers, probably not as good as yours, but they probably do the job. I have a set of stock plastic ones, and I ordered a set of the metal ones the other day...

  21. I get a commercial discount a the local parts place here, and they can usually get things same day (a few hours wait) or the day after. The same store, which is a national chain, used to be MUCH worse. But the corporation bought all the franchises back and overhauled it. I used to have to wait days for a set of wd21 brake pads. Now they're much closer.

  23. B, if you need them I have a brand new set of idler bushings you can have to use as templates.
