I once saw an se that looked identical to my xe with the small tires and chromies. I've seen an xe with the chromies and 31's and the legos and 31's. I've also seen an LE with cloth seats and the manual climate controls. There is an xe around here that a guy uses for a landscaping truck and it has the LE rims.. This week I saw a 94 XE with a sunroof, tire carrier, chromies with 31's, auto trans, power everything, i think flares too. I think it usually happens when the motor overheats. I might be wrong. But in your case, since you have a rebuilt motor, they probably did something wrong. I'd put up a good fight.

I don't know why but I've always hated the look of those on a pathy. Makes it look too much like a blazer

What if you got some adapters that go straight that way you could go down past that bracket and then use the 90's a little lower, it would take more hose but at least it would work.

I'd bet it's either bent (possible, but unlikely) or seized from not being used (more likely) Did the mechanic say what needed to be fixed?

Yeah we got it done, Another member on the boar d has the pics as I forgot my memory card when we did it to my truck. We had to cut the floor to slide it into the proper place. This was because 4x4parts.com had incorrect product listings until I let them know.

That Is interesting as I find my first half last's a lot longer than my second half.

How rusty is the frame? Maybe if you jump hard enough it will break off I would just cut it off if you can...

I've changed mine. The whole assembly comes in one piece. Thats What did at least... Its just as easy as it looks. Remove the tailgate trim, remove the wiper arm and the nut and bushing like things behind it. Then on the other side (inside) remove the bolts holding the assebly to the tailgate. Also unplug the wires. It should come out fairly easily.

I thought I saw this stuff at Canadian tire for like 50 bucks....Maybe I'll be the guinea pig...

All I gotta say is that these are interesting times indeed.

I used a screwdriver and a small hammer to force the c clip on. I don't know if that was a good or bad idea though. But so far it's all still there!
