I swapped SE seats into my XE. They bolt right in. Also the wiring for the heat seat to the fuse panel was there, and the fuse was even in the fusebox, but the wiring that goes from the switch to the seat isn't. You'll need to swipe that and the switch from the donor.

I have monroe sensatracs and find the front ones quite mushy but the rears are way too stiff. I've heard good things about kyb.

I used BFG Radial Long trails for my street tires. They ride real smooth but they suck in snow or mud. But you aren't going to be using them in that are you lol. They last a long time as well. Or you could just go to a tire shop get some highway all season tires, which is what the long trails are.

If he puts a cooler on it I think it would be fine also because the tranny itself is strong, it's just the heat and clogging cooler that kills it, no?

I used a nissan belt and the white marks worked perfectly for me.

For the beeping remove the drivers side kick panel. Its too the left of the brake pedal. Water got in there on mine and made the seat belt timer short out and constantly beep. Which = annoying. The panel is the plastic trim piece below the hood release...
