  1. Well I just got back from looking at it. Very nice rig. Probably the best frame you'll find around here. I took it for a drive and the clutch felt really good. 4wd works, had to use it to get out of the guy's icy driveway. All the power options work, and the adjustable shocks work too! The timing belt has been changed (pretty sure it was done at a dealer by the looks of things) and it's been undercoated it seems. The only problems I noticed were that it had the problem where the hatch would make the interior lights come on when you hit bumps, it needs new wiper blades, there are a couple little holes in the drivers seat, and the front brakes were a little screechy for the first couple minutes of the test drive. The suspension and steering were tight, and the clutch didn't slip and it shifted very smooth. Cruise control also works. Also there are NO exhaust leaks, even the manifolds. There is like no body rust except for the passenger front fender, the guy said he had it inspected and it passed. Frig if I didn't already have 3 trucks I'd buy this one!
  2. I would check the switch anyways. Also check the wiring where the bulb is. Mine was all messed up there.

  4. I have a prostart in my 95xe, just got it, works pretty well. In my 95SE that i just bought it has a viper, thats been in there for at least 10 years.
  5. These rigs don't have Struts. Only 96+ pathys do.
  6. Has it sat for an extended period of time recently?
  7. Sometimes in ottawa a gem with low miles and no rust will pop up. It's usually an elderly person that died's LE wd21.
  8. did you check the timing belt?
  9. Yeah I thought mine was all perfect back there, but after i scraped off some of the "undercoating" there were a few more holes. Need to get that done this spring.
  10. I would certainly clean out that frame, there is probably a ton of crap in there.
  11. Nice too see that you got the rest done. Where have I seen this truck before
  12. In the 95 I know there is a kickdown switch near the gas pedal. you can hear it if you push the pedal all the way down while the truck is off.
  13. On my way home from toronto, I used 4wd for about 440kms. After that the rest was all city driving in Ottawa. When I filled up and did the math, that was 19.7 mpg.
  14. You don't' need to touch anything for the tire carrier I believe, doesn't it latch to the body?
  15. GG with all that body rust, how was the frame on that 88?
  16. That's an awesome story. I love my 95 too, handled last nights storm and my 6 1/2 hour drive like it was a brand new truck.
  17. I never let dogs in my truck. I am allergic to some of them plus they will scratch the hell out of my interior.
  18. If you have drum rear are they properly adjusted?
  19. I had the same issue and turned out it was a combo of bad center link, tie rods, and drivers side wheel bearing being loose.
  20. Can you scan and post that page? That's awesome!
  21. I broke free my old tires on dry pavement. I find they have plenty of power for daily driving. For gas mileage sake though I've learned to drive slower.
  22. Isn't synchromesh for 5 speeds???
