  1. They're called the tension rod bushings. Mine made the same sound when I noticed they were shot.
  2. I got my stock one from the dealer for 16 dollars. And I got the monroe shock from rockauto for 29.99. But beware, it didn't come with a metal shield like 88's pic OR a Boot
  3. Wow, you treat vehicles like my brother (he just caused my parents a 1300 brake job). That poor pathy. No offense but the check engine light on for 80k? Hell it still had a good chunk of the warranty! This isn't a chev where the CEL is on all the time. Anyways not trying to be harsh, but damn, that's a lot of problems. But it shouldn't cost that much if you do it yourself
  4. My mom has a 5spd isuzu rodeo with remote start and it will not start unless it's left in neutral. Also for my pathy they did drill a hole near the fender for the hood switch but it was very professionally done. I can't even find the wires for it! Oh yeah its a prostart 5072 my dad got it for me for xmas so either way it was a good deal.
  5. I have a remote starter and alarm on mine. I had it installed by a pro as well. Some people think they're more trouble than they are worth, but I love mine. It's really nice up here in Canada where we're in a deep freeze right now.
  6. I've got a weird problem with my lights that happens randomly. Whenever it starts and the DRL's come on, only the passenger one comes on, but since someone put a wire across the 2 they both should work. If I flash the high beams it'll come back or if I turn the actual lights ON, then OFF. I checked the connections at the lights and the switch and all the contacts are good. Strange! I only noticed it because I got pulled over by the school security guard. Guess he was that bored.
  7. BowTied, don't the drums get adjusted by using the ebrake or slamming on the brakes in reverse?
  8. For the doors you can adjust the thing that the latch catches on. That worked for me.
  9. Err sorry, I meant to say the gauges are different.
  10. The nissan atf is the best, and it will cure the rough shifting. There was a TSB about it.
  11. The 93 dash is different than any other year pathy.
  12. If your truck is a manual its gl-4 or the gl-5 that is safe for synchros. If it's an auto, it takes dexron III. I can crawl under my truck fine at stock height and I'm not terribly thin either.
  13. I have the best of both worlds . But in all honesty I like the 93's dash better, it's a classic!
  14. I have this on mine. I don't have any pics of it mounted though.
  15. did u ever change the fluid?
  16. The "mom n pop" shops around here seem to think that the way you fix things on a chevy is how it works for all vehicles. I guess it's kinda hard to mess up an exhaust though.
  17. Other things for the cruise to check are the brake pedal cancel switch, and the hold relay.
  18. My dad has that one as well, and I think it looks great, and we haven't had any issues with it. It even still has the original paint with no rust!
  19. The 96-04 Pathfinders are unibody. You can't do a body lift on them. But, search around for something called a subframe drop.
  20. I know in my moms car sometimes you have to wiggle it to make it work again. Maybe the connection is loose?
  21. You could try going to a thicker oil. If you're using 5w30 try 10w40 or 15w40. Depending on where you live though, as it might affect how it starts in the cold.
  22. There ya go buddy. Took that last year. It had a split in it.
  23. One thing is to check the little egr hose that connects the egr to the manifold there is a tiny little rubber piece of hose there, like an 1 1/2 inches long.
