B would you consider selling a drivers side power heated mirror? When I bought the truck it was on by a bolt then the bolt snapped so I had to re bolt it, but she's getting loose again! It doesn't fold in anymore...so when people walk buy they just further crack the casing.

On the newer r50s if you look at the bulbs on the outside you will see the 2 screws holding the cover on.

Leak in power steering hose, need part # .. any ideas?
adamzan replied to MadManMike's topic in The Garage
It seems to be different for different vehicles, my friends 2000 neon required Power steering fluid, while my other friends Plymouth breeze (both Chrysler) called for ATF -
It only does that with the fancy SE controls. I looked in his pics and he has the manual ones like me. My a/c won't click on with the defrost...
-
I would say so. Check it out and run it first though.
-
It won't hurt the truck to unplug or leave the failing o2 plugged in. If its unplugged it may affect your gas mileage tho
-
If it only does it when warmed up, that would indicate a sensor most likely. This is because before it warms up the truck runs in open loop, which means its just doing what it can to keep the motor running. When it goes into closed loop it uses sensor input to adjust the air/fuel mixture.

how to bypass daytime running light module(canada)
adamzan replied to keelhaul's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
On my truck, the DRL module must be shot as my DRL's are my high beams at full power. And I discovered that only the drivers side one works and someone just spliced a wire across to the other one. I see tons of vehicles around here, some older some newer, not even nissans, with no DRL's. I only thought they had to work for a safety inspection. My dad drove for 3 years with only 1 drl working on his 93 pathy and the "po" never bothered him about it.... -
That last one you mentioned could be part of the Throttle position sensor...
-
I find that I always have to put the a/c on to get my windows to defrost. It also helps if you keep the heat cranked.

This is from the other thread. I saw those bulbs in princess auto, they looked interesting and are on sale this week, I will stop in and grab some!
-
I really don't know, but you can always take it apart and look. Good thing being is that you can probably get a replacement for cheap if you want, or even better, upgrade to a nice cd/mp3 disk player! I always thought on these trucks if you had the power mirrors, you had the heated mirrors. Guess not. All 3 of our pathys do

I've tested the abs out before, I went to a street that was snowy and slammed on the brakes, my friend said that only the fronts locked up but the rears didn't and I didn't feel anything in the pedal. While in 4wd all 4 lock up but it's much harder to do so.

Leak in power steering hose, need part # .. any ideas?

Power steering fluid in these trucks is ATF...Hopefully someone will chime in and correct me if need be. But that's what I topped mine up with and it's fine. -
I'll have to take a tour out to my friends garage where the truck is stored. I will get them sometime this week.

You don't unplug it underneath, I don't have a photo handy, but I can tell you, its one of those 4 plugs near the power steering resevoir. There are 2 white and 1 black wire.
-
kingman just remember his truck is MPFI not TBI, I don't know if that makes a difference. Kitt, just unplug the o2 and see if its better, if not plug it back in, then try the temp sensor. Trial and error my friend.

Cant find an authoritative thread on rotors.
adamzan replied to jproy's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
You can get them from www.rockauto.com -
Yes and Yes. Check the junkyards, they'd probably give you the radio....But probably not the mirrors. Do you have power mirrors? I was fortunate enough to find a stock 93-95 wd21 radio at a salvation army!

Things I would check: -o2 sensor -maf -clogged catalytic converter (it made my stutter worse and smell of gas) for the smell of gas, is it up front or in the rear, or at the tail pipe? If its up front there are some fuel line hoses that have little screw clamps, check those and tighten them if need be. If it's in the rear, there is a seal on the top of the gas tank that leaks, even if you can see fuel dripping, it seeps out. If it's at the tailpipe, then you know its something with how its running, and not leaking.
-
Check your o2 sensor. You can unplug and see if it runs better, it's on the passenger side of the engine bay. Mine had 2 white wires and 1 black. Common problem on older vehicles.

Luckily for kitt that place you linked has a store in Harrisburg PA

I don't know about anyone else, but in my 93 SE right under the radio, there is a little compartment you push on and it comes out, and there is a plastic piece that can slide over it and hold 2 drinks. Plus the ones in the center console. I don't know if this was a rare option or not. I will post pics if people want. This truck also has a phone thing right beside the center console on the passenger side.

At least the gas prices are cheaper....

Do you have any photos of the frame repair
