Just before Christmas I bought another 95 pathy, for 100 dollars. The body and interior are mint and it runs great. Only 2 problems that I see, cracked frame and the rear tires are bald, but the fronts are new. But hey, even if i don't fix it up, I can throw the nice leathers into my XE pathy and have a bunch of spare parts, rather than spending the 340 the JY wanted for a full set of leathers. I had been eying the truck for a while, and when I talked to the owner I bought it almost instantly.

You mean the wire came out of the socket? That happened to me twice because I didn't seal the hole. I didn't feel like driving back to the JY again to get another one so I went to Canadian tire and bought a universal tail light socket. Wired it up, and as luck would have it, it fit perfectly! Also I used that split loom and electrical tape to seal it all up.

Check the contacts on the switch maybe? I know that is a problem on the older paths

It's called the strut rod bushing on there.

But the hole must be really wallowed out for it to have shifted like that. I would definitely change those bushings. You can get them from www.rockauto.com Good prices and cheap shipping.

Aftermarket gauges only look bad when someone doesn't install them right.

My dad was over today, and I was giving him a hard time about his pathy, with its lack of frame, plastic bumpers, and VG33E. He has a 2000 5 speed pathy. *goes out to admire his frame*

And with 202k on the clock you might want to replace those shocks, and inspect the swaybar links and the rest of the suspension and steering. I bet it steered loose and was all over the road before that even happened...

Did you change the filter? Also adding some Lucas tranny additive made mine shift a lot better too. Oh yeah, you have to flush with a lot of fluid something like 14 quarts to get all the old dirty stuff out. I have no idea about the solenoids. I have no knowledge of transmissions other than that flushing and filtering helped mine a lot.

Yeah. Try unplugging the 02 sensor under the hood and see if it runs better...I didn't have enough cash to replace mine in the summer, so I forgot about it, and it's been slowly getting worse....

Have you checked to see if your transmission is in limp mode? When you turn the truck on the does the power light blink or just come on and then go off?

I had the same problem except mine was intermittent. The fluid was brown, and smelled burnt. I had it flushed and installed an external filter, and the problem is gone.

Surprisingly, I've had no problems with the ac delco battery the shop installed when I bought my pathy.
