  1. My dad took such good care of his 93 pathy oil wise, but with his r50, holy crap, he left the same oil in there for 20,000kms!! It was synthetic, and I changed it because I was so unimpressed, but it came out pretty clear for how long it was in there. My 95 taps at start up for like 2 seconds as well. I think it's normal when these motors get older. And you're right, a good oil keeps it away.

  3. Good job, last time I went to pull some friends out, the police came, stopped me, and told me I wasn't allowed, because "I'd never get it out". It was a jetta just barely in the ditch. Dumb cops...
  4. Well, I got so sick of the vibration I took it into a shop to have the bushings pressed in, and they inspected the whole truck, and found that the bushings were fine. My truck got a report card so to speak:
  5. Will do, if i ever get around to it Some others have come up with great solutions. I wish I was lucky enough to have the SE console in my 95. Here is the mess in mine. I feel your pain if it's the same... Yeah that's right, they didn't even mount it to anything.
  6. It surprised me as well! Damn right I'm keeping it! I don't know how that happened, and I'm not even lying or stretching my numbers...I just don't gun it while getting on the highway, i use most of the merge lane and when I pull in I'm up to speed so no putting my foot into it to avoid tailgaters. I usually drive 10 over the limit as well. The only things I have done to it are a new exhaust, fixed the manifold studs, and a drop in k&n air filter. And I run synthetic oil. I don't know what else to say really
  7. I have the same issue. Someone had keyless and remote start(not the factory one) at one point, and I guess they lost the remote so they cut the antenna off, but left everything else. If I unplug the box my locks don't work at all. I accidentally flicked the switch on it today, and it turned on my marker lights and waited ( to program a new remote i assume). Try looking under your dash where the brake pedal is and behind the fuse box, you have to kinda stick your head under there, and look to see if someone had installed something and made a mess.
  8. Must be nice to sit in the office and stare at the pathy all day
  9. What are the door locks doing? Not working at all, or does the button not work and when you try to lock them it resists you? Do you have a remote starter/key less entry?
  10. If you back up slowly enough you will hear them disengage.
  11. What I did on my 93 a long time ago, was had a friend operate the radio and while it went up and down i sprayed it generously.
  12. Did you actually get genuine Nissan keys? Or do they use those crappy Ilco or curtis ones that somehow bend in your pocket?
  13. With my wd21 VG, I usually get about 21 mpg on the highway, around here you can do the speed limit without getting run down. This summer I made two trips, both that had a lot of hills. On the steepest one, the truck downshifted to 2nd gear at 70km/h and SCREAMED up the hill, just to hold speed. I learned, it was best just to go really really fast down the previous hills and then coast up the other side...I got 20 mpg on that trip with the a/c on most of the time our r50 came with 245 70 r16 stock. It's a 5 spd 2000.
  14. Does this help? http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?s=&amp...st&p=204041 Maybe you have some crap in the threads.
  15. That is an understatement!!!! The XE seats suck so bad. I found a set of leather seats in the JY in good shape
  16. I think I will just leave well enough alone. I don't have the time right now to do anything about it and I drive 95 percent in the day anyways now, if I even drive at all. But holy hell are the stock wires ever THIN.
  17. I wasn't looking to relay the lights I just wanted to know if wiring both high and low together would burn my truck down. I got my answer.......

Are those the plastic ramp things? I see those at Canadian tire, TSC and princess auto. I don't know if i'd trust driving my truck up onto them :S
  19. I had this same problem a while back. Changing my fuel filter solved it.
  20. When I took it off, it had a few cracks when you bent it on the top but the teeth were fine.... The socket is a 27mm btw
  21. I changed my tbelt at 240k km. Guess I'm lucky
  22. Even with the 3+3 you will need to trim the fenders, if you go with the 33's. Hey Simon, when he's done his truck will probably look exactly like yours!
  23. mine is annoying, as you can see the tank isn't "empty" yet. The light will glow in and out. And once it gets onto the E and below, it'll go steady....Annoying at night!
