I took the wires off of my 95 last year and they were the original but in pretty good shape. The cap and rotor looked a little worn but not too bad. I would usually run these kind of things till I had a problem. The only reason I changed them as I was chasing a misfire that turned out to be 02sensor related. I would probably change them every few years to be on the safe side (as in not to have problems in the middle of nowhere like I did). I kept the old wires as spares but tossed the C&R

The dealers around me (the 2 I went to) said to clean the D rings first and then come back if it didn't work. They said it is covered but they told me they didn't know if they could still get the parts, they said "well a 95 is pretty old, they probably don't even make them anymore". Considering it is "lifetime" warranty you'd think they would still have to produce them....wtf

I had the same problem on the front but I just bought new calipers and caliper frames that came with new slid pins. Problem solved.

I vote for either a CV or an autohub issue. Get someone to sit in the truck, throw it in 4wd, roll forward about 10 feet. Put it back in 2wd but don't reverse to unlock the hubs. Get them to roll forward again and watch, if both cvs turn then the hubs are working, if one isn't turning, then you've found your issue. If you don't have someone to help you can pull the parking brake up just enough to allow the truck to slowly crawl so you can get out and watch.

Dudu, are you completely stopped before going to first? I've found that the wd21/r50 manual trans you gotta be perfectly still before it would let me into 1st. And I never got grinding. I would definitely change the fluid. And use gl4 not gl5!

Well the o2 sensor could be causing those troubles. Mine went and the light would come and go but it misfired pretty bad until I changed the o2 sensor. For the speed sensor, does your speedo work? If not then you know what the issue is but if it works then I don't know!

Does it do it on hills? Or just randomly. If on hills it's normal as the cruise sucks in these trucks but if it does it randomly, it's probably a cracked/leaking vacuum line from the pump to the actuator. It is on the passenger side of the engine bay near the firewall. The hose is about 8" long.

upgrade the vg33. it will last forever while the vq35 will explode if you do any "mods" (other than intakes and exhausts).

Yep alignment. You might want to crank the tbars up a little bit as they're gonna have to put a @!*%load of shims in to correct that.

The long needle nose pliers that have an angled end work perfect.

This reminds me of nismojunky's mechanic, great guy, he did my tension rods for 80 bucks including all the welding, drilling and installing the new parts. Plus he let us use his shop to mount my arb.

You can stick with the chrome rims for now, mine didn't wear funny at all. Like said above it comes from screwed up alignment (mostly toe)

Have you scanned it for "pending codes" they won't throw a light.
