  1. Timbren I seen them on an X-terra (as it bounced around) very impressed, may drop the $ and pick some up once I get the engine done.
  2. without the prep (cleaning debris, removing loose rust, etc...) POR-15 would be a waste of alot of money as it wouldn't work well. one of the other options (Dino or Fish based) I use POR-15 and love it! just not on the inside of the frame rails
  3. I have had 3 95's and none have had pre-cats

    Gamers?

Picked up Borderlands and am playing it with a few friends, Good game
  5. P1401 EGR Temp Sensor I wouldn't trust the Haynes manual for the issue. Best to replace the temp sensor and reset your codes. If that doesn't work jump back into this thread

    Gamers?

I usually only play x-box live after the wife and kid go to sleep; if it isn't LIVE... it sux Gives me time to talk to my out of state buddies as I whoop them. BF2, BF1943, etc...
  7. full tank, and I use a weld blanket, I also dropped my tank the first time; after that I just throw a blanket over it, I plasma cut, weld, grind without issue. Always have an extinguisher ready and pay attention to the gas lines on the passenger rail. (Por 15 makes 2 products called Marine Clean (degreaser/cleaner) and Metal Ready (paint/weld prep)) yeah I like POR-15... Don't worry about the inside as once you weld it any paint etc... is vaporized and the rest of the frame isn't treated on the inside. 2 bad there is no bridge over Lake Michigan; would have you bring it over Addicted to Welding............. Beats the hell out of my daytime IT job...
  8. Didn't have any issues with my Calmini swap but I use MAPP with my PB Blaster after a heat-spray-heat (and I had the right size ratchet)HUGE since airtools didn't work well
  9. I'll be picking one up also; as it is time to pull the headers out of the garage attic while I am wrenching.
  10. Wow nice project! Did you make your table also? I like the setup!
  11. isn't it a 16 gallon tank? that would throw the math off but still is bad on gas...
  12. I am pulling my engine to replace the main seal. While it is out I am going to: 1. timing belt, water pump 2. rings, will check bearings also (honing, etc) after 225K I am guessing the cams are worn so I am wondering if anyone has used anything other than stock? (I tow and wheel with my pathy) Just wondering who has used what options, I searched but didn't find any usable info.
  13. Congrats on your first timing belt change! I'm doing mine soon...
  14. Just lost my main seal, she is gushing oil and the engine is getting pulled asap (Inventory at work...) going to do water pump etc.. while it is out also.
  15. I'll watch again when I get home and have a few beers; memorize that and blow some minds... or get put away in the nuthouse for tryin'
  16. No flux capacitors? reminded me of a 70's Popular Mechanics Flying Car ad; we should have had them by the 90's! WTF?
  17. Drop buy and I'll oilpan to one piece Nice truck! but you didn't like the x?-0

    seafoam?

i pour it in the cap of a spraypaint can & pull the vacuum line off the brake booster while running. putting my finger over the hose so I don't kill the truck and just stick it in. it sucks it up quick; and the smoke screen begins
  20. I take it you don't like Calmini/Miller blue?-) (Miller Welding not nasty beer)

    seafoam?

I run her low on fuel, pour in a pint and drive to a distant gas station; Have done this on all my vehicles including back in the leaded gas era. For oil I pour in a pint and let it idle for 10 minutes (no load) then drain oil, (I flush it with Marvel Mystery oil to get all the leftovers out) then new filter... Feed it thru a vacuum line to get the carbon & crap out. All this pint talk is making me thirsty for a Guinness!
  22. Yep, we will be there Friday afternoon and leaving Sunday (or Monday;-)

    seafoam?

Sea-Foam is awesome (I buy it in gallon containers) I use it in almost everything (it is in the toolkit next to Duct Tape & JB Weld) Let me Google Seafoam for You! SEA FOAM Motor Treatment is a 100% pure petroleum product that safely and effectively cleans internal fuel and oil system components, helping your gasoline or diesel engine run cleaner and more efficiently. SEA FOAM is an EPA-registered product, and will not harm engine components, seals, gaskets, catalytic converters or oxygen sensors. SEA FOAM liquefies gum and varnish deposits or internal engine components, removing carbon deposits, freeing sticky valve lifters and rings curing rough idle, pinging and hesitation problems. By using SEA FOAM to eliminate varnish and carbon buildup, mechanics can more accurately diagnose mechanical problems that may exist. That is why Sea Foam has been so popular with professional mechanics for over 65 years. As a fuel system additive, Sea Foam will clean fuel injectors, clean carbon, gum and varnish deposits, add lubricity to fuel, stabilize fuel for 2 years and control moisture. As an oil system additive, Sea Foam controls moisture, gum, varnish and residue deposits. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D11ZVYwj62w

    TV Brands

I have a 46" LCD Samsung Touch of Color Love it, Football rocks on it; and HD looks real... the maun thing is the BLACKS ARE BLACK which was an issue with alot of them. I will buy another! (since the wife claims this one as hers) Vizio sucks; the other reason is you can't get parts for them. (Oh we don't make those parts any longer; from a unit less than a year old...) I am looking for the pics I have when I fixed my Vizio with my 10 gauge. Skip walmart on the TV's; alot of good priced things at Wally World but not TV's
