  1. Umm... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/12828-how-to-change-your-timing-belt/
  2. My money is on you just lost a pedal signal. Doesn't happen very often, but once in a while, it happens. Petty easy to replace and you perform the steps I stated above to learn the pedal position.
  3. Changed the oil, replaced factory fog lamp bulb(guess they don't like water), lubed tie rod ends and front driveshaft, removed pieces of tree in the bead of my left rear tire and finally, yes FINALLY, removed the rest of the factory nerf bar mounting brackets(bars got ripped of long ago).
  4. Remove the access cover in the rear floor and check the pump wires. They have a tendency to break and create a open circuit.
  5. Are you sure it wasn't a p2138 code? If it was, it's for the accelerator pedal. The u1000 code is for the CAN system(info sharing system). Try turning your engine off. Turn the key to the on position(without starting) and wait 10 seconds. Do this three Tim's ending in the key on position. Be sure not to push either of the pedals and turn everything else off. Let us now if it helps
  6. Under the hood, right inner fender, behind the battery next to the p/s reservoir. May have burned the fuel pump up. Gas acts as a coolant and lubricator as it passes through it. Fuel pressure test is what I would do.
  7. Give me about 20 minutes and I will look it up for you when I get back at my computer
  8. Coolant has a different boiling point, differs between coolants. Heat absorption and dissipation is key. Different climates do different things. That's why 50/50 is recommended. It can differ in more extreme climates. Straight water might get you down the road, but instability of the metals around it cause large issues. Coolant acts as a lubricant also. Incorrect mix can cause lots of different things to happen. Sorry if it sounds like rambling, I got kids pulling on me at the moment.
  9. Did you do the flushes? Did you mix the coolant correctly to a 50/50 mix with water? Too much coolant(mix) will keep your temps down. Thermostat is a good idea to start. You can pull the two sensors and inspect them for contamination.
  10. 60-80 bucks? Guess he don't value his time much.
  11. Yeah, that's not right. All your links should be straight. Luckily, it's not too hard to replace. Be sure to double check the others.

Just doing some side work. My rig is jealous and decided to make a whirring noise from the engine tonight. Probably just a pulley.

  18. Here is a recent thread..... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/31646-33x125x15/
  19. I just installed theses in my front doors... Before and after... And in the door... Only modification was bending the tabs on each end of the speaker so the door panel fit correctly. The speakers were from Crutchfield and came with the wiring adapters.
  20. Read this... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/17038-how-to-re-index-your-torsion-bars/ And see if it helps you. If not let us know
  21. Might I suggest reading through this thread.... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/5948-the-unofficial-tire-review-thread/ Lots of tire information there.
  22. Installed new front speakers the other day. Man, he needed it. The foam surrounds were completely gone.
  23. I would do a compression test. See what the readings are, then maybe perform a wet test. Our VG's are very well know for carbon issues. Intake runners, valves injectors and the combustion chamber all get carboned up fast. I have done several "induction" cleaning service to clean the carbon up. Recently, well, a year ago, I did plugs, did the induction service and did a fuel injector cleaning using the 3M system at Nissan. This made a huge difference! I will try to find my writeup and let you check it out. Here it is... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/31832-making-it-run-like-new/ I have almost 223,000 and it still runs great. Power is what should be expected from a Vg, you know, adequate! Oh, clean that MAF!
