  1. Rack or tie rods. R50s have no steering stops. It is built into the rack.
  2. Meh ive never torqued them down to a specification and i've been fine as far as warped rotors or the rotors being loose. If you have an impact then just impact them on a good bit, if you just have a ratchet just make sure they're tight.
  3. How do you know its US gasoline? The US seems to burn all the gas they refine and still have to import gasoline.
  4. no they're not.. especially if the part is off a newer r50.
  5. SEs had the lever option til 2003 actually. My friend has an one.. 03 SE auto with the lever.
  6. You shouldnt need 2 pairs in my opinion. I would just get one pair and put one bolt in each of the top mounting holes and keep the bottom bolt as an anchor. You should be able to get all the adjustment you need with just one camber bolt. But it seems like every other pathfinder needs no camber bolts, needs 4 bolts or only needs 2.. So which ever one works out best for you. I say if you can get away with just one pair do that.
  7. Yes they will fit. When you air down a tire it only affects the bottom of the tire where it is contacting the driving surface.. Since the tire is aired down it might "sway" in or out depending on if you're rock crawling or whatever you're driving on. The tire could possibly contact the strut for a second during that time but it will not be rubbing all the time.
  8. Which ever ones you get make sure you hammer them on with an impact when you have them adjusted. Mine would come loose and create all kinds of problems on the trail.
  9. So how much is the dealer wanting to charge you? It might be cheaper just to replace the engine yourself..
  10. You probably are not looking in the right place.. The valve is located in the rear of the vehicle right above the panhard rod, in front of the spare tire. Somewhere in that general area.
  11. I would change it. A belt is only $35 bucks and it takes about 3 hours of your time.
  12. Well i dont know if you'll be able to get the panel off with the door closed.. The dash is in the way and you have to move the panel around quite a bit to take it off. Maybe a slimjim can get the door open so you can work at it?
  13. Yeah.. I have both an Xterra and R50 pathfinder and the front diffs are totally different in design.
  14. You could stick an xterra front diff in there you would just have to make custom brackets for the diff.. Not hard really you just need someone whos determined and doesnt mind doing something "new".
  15. A good amount. I wanna see someone try and put 4.90s in an r50.
  16. ECU does not control the starting motor so it cannot be at fault here.
  17. You can remove the cowl to access the linkage. you'll have to unbolt the wipers from their spot to take the cowl all the way off. If anything is broken im parting out my r50 and can sell you the linkage and everything.
  18. If it sits lower in the front right now stock and you want a completely level ride I would go with the OME springs in the front and replace your struts and shocks. It would then sit completely level and ride good too.
  19. If you have a press, put a socket thats bigger then the bolt on the "head" side of the bolt and they pop right out. They're just like wheel studs.
  20. One of the flanges should be a little thicker. That side goes towards the transfercase.
  21. The fan will still be pulling air from inside the bumper which will pull air from around the bumper. dont worry about overheating or anything. As long as theres a passage for air to get in somewhere you're fine. Especially if you have the stock mechanical fan and have a good mixture of coolant/water.
  22. I just put my ARB bumper on my Xterra. It looks like it would fit the r50 pretty good, just need to hack off the X mounts and weld on some mounts that'll work with the pathy. I just wouldnt be ready to hack up a brand new bumper.
  23. Also it depends on how hard you hit the pole. The pathfinder has a G sensor inside the center console that detects how hard you hit something. It can determine weather you slammed on your brakes really hard or it stopped you so fast that you hit something and the airbags should deploy. How hard did you hit that pole?
  24. Well you hit the light pole offset on the front end. The airbag sensor wasnt even touched by that collision. If you hit it dead center im sure that would have triggered the airbags.
