does anyone make a rear disc conversion for 01 pathy
nissandoms47 replied to shortysmash's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
lol you're making it too complicated. Find a rear disc thats about 10-11" across with a 6.5-5 and a center bore of 4" or bigger. Newer mitsubishi montero rear discs would probably work great for this. Then for the caliper, you need to find one with a lever mechanism for the parking brake. Some mid 80s caddys were like this. Then just get a custom caliper bracket built. -
I highly doubt yours came out of an Xterra. The r50 front diff is a totally different design vs all the other mid sized nissan suvs and trucks. Its not a direct "bolt in"
-
I bet it all interchanges. Its the same steering column throughout all the years. So I would guess the splines on the steering wheel would also be the same.
-
I wouldn't get it. Its the first year of that chassis and it has a ton of miles on it. You could find better ones with far less miles on it for only 1-2k more....
-
But thats on a domestic truck lol. If you notice, older WD pathfinders with rear discs rarely had any problems if all with them. You could even use the old pathy rear discs and calipers and just build a quick caliper bracket. And use a driveline ebrake.

Not when you get mud and crap built up inside the drum. I wanna go to discs soon just for the performance.. And they're easier to service, they clean out easier etc..
-
Yes. having the front struts take a hard landing and bottoming out can easily bend them. I've easily bent 2 having that happen.
-
I would think bent struts..

pathy swaying at freeway speeds

Wow.. That was one of my first posts.. when I was a noob haha. Good times.. -
Haha yeah.. Well the Xterra was suppose to be the 2nd gen pathy chassis wise.. it is a WD22. So it kinda shares some things with the 1st gen pathy.
-
Bah, this is where its all at..
-
Well let me know. i'm asking $175 for it.
-
Nope not yet.
-
Well I did buy it wrecked so I spent some money fixing it up. I just installed the 2" body lift and my shackles should be here next week. Swapped my 32s from the r50 over. Finished the interior. Just have some littles things here and there like door switches etc.. and the nissan emblem and some lights and im set. I'll probably just do a 2" SL and keep my 32s until they wear out.
-
Finally snapped a picture. what do you guys think?
-
You just need to let your springs settle more. I have the AC lift and 1" spacers on mine with camber bolts in both holes and there is pleanty of adjustment. Its just cause you're ac lift hasn't completly settled yet. Unless something is kinda funky. You could try adding some washers inbetween the body and the spacer on the outside edge to bring the strut angle back into the factory range.

97 Pathfinder Transmission problems.
nissandoms47 replied to JCVQPWR's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Yeah i've delt with the auto tranny in my r50 so many times I decided to get a manual 5 speed in my new xterra and not worry about autos anymore. I seriously had the trans in my r50 out at least 4 times for stuff breaking or seals not holding or whatever. Manual trans ftw. -
So you're telling me r50s are only meant for the street? I have no lockers and was with a group of jeeps all of them had long arms and lockers front/rear. I got over it unassisted and unlocked. I don't know what kind of offroading you do but its more then half the driver then it is the vehicle you're using.

You're tranny is just completly toasted it sounds like. The parking feature inside the trans seems to not be working since the ATP light goes on. and a flashing OD light indicates that the tranny computer is seeing something wrong with the trans. Especially at 240k.. Go pull the check engine light codes and see what comes up. -
Try Ebay, try car-part.com or I could always pick you up a brand new aftermarket one. I bought a power/heated drivers side mirror for my xterra for $50 bucks at a wholesaler here in town.
-
Meh i've always wanted to throw on some titan big tow mirrors. but thats when it was lifted more.
-
No they wont. Thats kinda sad. I was pulling out of the nissan dealership the other day and a ford explorer decided to change lanes right as I pulled into the far right lane. Pathy mirror owned the ford mirror. But hers just folded in. Mine had nothing but a scratch. It was kinda scary that a car got so close as to hit mirrors.
