  1. It could have been a factory install but that is the way it was bought in 88.
  2. I'm at 297k and it is still running strong. as long as you do the timing belt and keep the fluids clean you should be good for a long time.
  3. That does sound like a vacuum leak and those happen pretty fast some times. not sure on the 95 pathfinder vacuum systems but i would retrace your steps from when you had the battery unplugged and the fuel lines done pathfinders have obscure vacuum lines and maybe some where you have a wire that is shorting out...
  4. wow your so heated for no reason. And no reason to be a jerk about it.
  5. Its not that people are lazy or ignorant they may not have the money, time or know how to replace their timing belt. and when you put "no offence" as your two first words people will get offended. to the OP, I have found that engines are not all that expensive for the pathfinder if that is what it needs, so $400 for one that looks like it has a great body is a real find! I am fixing mine up trying to keep it stock as much as possible, but the call of a solid front axle is really tempting. Good luck with the pathy hope that you get it!
  6. I was going to suggest vacuum line's but since you checked that off the list... My 88 was having the same problem it turned out a friend of mine mixed up my lines, and when they were back in the right spot all my problems went away. which were exactly what you were describing. hope you solve it.
  7. Some times it pay's to just take to someone. Glad you got it all sorted out. let us know if it does help you MPG.
  8. I took mine to a tech and it now blows super super cold it was well worth the money, It cost me $32 to have it checked and charged and a belt put on. I would think that you have a leak somewhere in your system, that is what it sounds like to me.
  9. Trogdor...as in he was a dragon man???

  10. My 88 had that same problem and it turned out to be a loose wire, that would be the first thing I would check. Mine was a yellow wire might help might not. Good Luck!
  11. I hope who ever gets it is very happy with it.
  12. If the bid is up to $5,000 and it still says the reserve is not met I really think he doesn't want to sell his Pathy; who would it is super nice. I didn't notice the wheel weights before But WOW I could never could get a Hankook tire to balance very well.
  13. I had the same problem make sure that all of your vacuum lines are connected <--Redundant sorrybut super important. I replaced a A/B (Is this the same as the PCV?) valve that sits on the front of your air box its a got a couple of hoses connected to it and then to the air box. I did all that you did in the post and that stupid valve worked for me. Hope this helps. if not sorry. Best of luck getting to pass.
  14. It was kinda dark when I looked so it is probably green red.
