  4. What year is this? Factory cell holder? What does it say on the front of the panel?
  5. If you go new shop around, you can find them or considerably less. A local NAPA (Independent store not a corporate one) found me a set for somewhere between 150 and 250, I can't remember the exact price any more. It was one item... both injectors, all wired up with the connectors
  6. Ok I found the post where I explained how I went about it... there are follow up posts as well 90 amp alty, or 120? Sadly some of the pics are gone now
  7. I'll have to find the pics of my install or take new ones.. and review how I did it
  8. Well actually if you modify the bracket and make a small mounting bolt spacer, then there is no modification required on the alternator
  9. Yeah dump the box, smear some grease and/or gear oil (dirty would be best) on it and put it in the parts bin you mentioned. The suggestion of buying something else while your there is not a bad idea either
  10. Have you considered a TK1 Centerlink setup such as that made by hoohaa (forum member name) / grassroots4x4.com ?
  11. Calmini offers one iirc, you could also make one with you have a welder
  12. Definitely follow B's recommendation and star now! Get that thing to break loose before you are ready to install the rest. That way, you won't have to mess with it when your swapping parts Having battled with a few of them, I know exactly what B is talking about
  13. Just giving you a hard time Good luck reaching Duffman.. he sold his truck and has been gone for a long time now Here are some pics of MrJims truck while it was in the wecking yard
  14. I figured but I was REALLY hopeing you knew who "Jim" was on these forums... especially with all the "Jim" talk the past few months That would be "MrJim" I think a shot of his steering exists on these forums, but I am not certain.
  15. Look for the thread where Jims truck as found in the wecking yard and there is a pic there... might also look through Duffman's posts/topics. He has not had his Pathy for a while but iirc he posted pics of his setup.
  16. It's a sticker so yeah it "can" come off, but very few people have ever reported that a sticker did in fact come off. Usually they are just covered with dirt and grease and that leads people to think that they are not there... but again, yes it can come off. a mechanical test is best by far, but looking for a sticker is a good easy start It's also possible that a PO added an LSD to an axle not originally equipped with one, thus no sticker Anyway Jim, the link works for me car-part.com
  17. Welcome back Jim!

  18. There is a link to the help section in the upper right corner of every page (under your user name) that takes you here: Help Topics
  19. Each beam of each light has it's own electrical path through the switch. So yes you can loose just one beam (high or low) in just one light... or any and all combination's of beams/lights. I hassled with it for a while by taking the switch out and cleaning & "tweaking" the contacts so they would work again. But after several times doing it in just a couple months I finally just bought a new one and have had no trouble since. But since the full power runs through the switch it's just a matter of time before a new switch starts to do the same thing again. With that said I suggest that you consider this headlight modification: Headlights performing poorly?
  20. Another question for you though, are you sure you don't have an LSD... it could just been heavily worn. Easiest way to tell is to look for an orange sticker on the back of the. The other way would be to jack it up and do a mechanical check. If you truely have an open diff then you are good to go with a locker, but if you have an LSD then you will need to get an open diff carrier to install a locker
  21. An LSD "can" slip, lockers do not. It's true in just about all IFS street legal production trucks. Lockers just tend to not agree with them when one wheel gets ito a positon that it cannot turn... something has got to give and the CV tends to be the weakest link. Compare it to a rear solid axle, a locker can break an axle shaft in them aswell... and they tend to be a lot stronger than CV's
  22. A LOT cheaper here Rocky Road Outfitters
  23. Not fail, that gives you the option of upgrading to a locker without needed additional parts
  24. It would be useful if you have a problem with overheating your differential, but if you never find yourself in such a position, then it's money best spent on other things... or saved
