You can adjust both camber and cater using shims behind the UCA bolts. When I originally cranked my T-bars I catually had to remove shims (usually you need to add) so It made me wonder about who did the last alignment on the truck before I had gottne it.

Did you go to the Lowe's on Hudson? I was up there weekend before last, got 800#s of gravel in my 88 With the JGC springs in it it barely dropped the rear on that thing.

The chamfered edge goes toward the CV joint. Dunno bout the nut.

Why not just put the good guts out of the 2wd case in the case of your 4wd tranny?

There were a handfull of 2drs sold as a 90 model year, like I said before not many. I think one of the people on the board actually has one of those rare birds.

Mine rides fine, been bent for well over a year with no issues.

90 was the changeover year. Not many 90 2 doors though.

Probably easiest is to look at the wires at the amps compared to whats at the stereo and at the speaker, cut and splice the ones that match.

Same happened to me, I just used some heavy duty self tapping screws and put them in next to the old bolts.

:cool2: I saw someone mount theirs by the battery since they had cruise. Still on my list of future upgrades.

Guess you gotta learn to double check things some how. At least when whoever (done long before I got it) changed the brake and fuel lines on my 88 they were too lazy to remove the old nasty ones, they just ran the new ones next to the old. At least they didn't do a hack job.

I've got the T-belt/waterpump swap down to 2hrs (electric fan saves a bunch of time there). once you are torn down that far, aside from the timing covers just install all new parts. Tranny is much easier to get to on a lift, but if you have enough suspension lift/tire you can crawl under the truck and be comfy enough to do it. I did my tranny filter in my service, couldn't drop the pan completely because of the exhaust, but manuvered it just enough to reach all the filter bolts and dump the littl bit of fluid that didn't drain as well as clean the fuzzy magnet .

I agree, wish I had time to swap my 93's out before next weekend, you were the second person I have seen in the last month fold one and my passenger rear is already "arched" a little bit .

Unless they changed the length of the rear links by a fraction of an inch then nope (since we now know the went from steel I bars to aluminum tubes ).

Same blocks, different bolt size. They changed the rears (and centers IIRC) from a 12mm to a 14mm. Those bolt into captive nuts welded in the body, but the mounts are in the same places.

Um, because they aren't, the body on the 2dr and 4dr are the same exact length. (BTW, just measured to double check that (nice haveing one of each 2 ft from each other to reference ).)

More like $1000 of that, just did most all of that to my 93 a month ago for about $250 in parts and fluids.

Same frame for all years, no matter the # of doors.

Unless they make magnetic aluminum now, mine are steel.

Well, I would hope you would at least drain out a JY tank before installing it -thnkboutit-

I know people who have done that.
