  1. We have some stuff going at NOAS about swap info. Here is the thread: NOAS engine swap thread. The VH swap sounds tempting.
  2. Did your's have key fobs? Might need one of those to reset it.
  3. A high flow cat still creates some back pressure.
  4. With all the bumps and ridges for rigidity in the floor pans, it's not really easier to clean. The real + to no carpet is that you don't have a huge sponge on the floor anymore.
  5. I had my 93 down to Fort Meyers Beach last May. Drove straight through on the way home. Ran a little warm with the AC going, but not too bad.
  6. Got the E-mail. I'll be back as long as the bug bomb works .
  7. Depends on how easy access you want it. I had originally thought about putting the one in my 93 on the back end of the center console, but it interfeared with folding te seat bottoms in the rear forward. On my 88 I have it mounted to the subframe under the rear seats (rear seats and carpet removed). On the 93 I ended up putting it behind the spare tire rack on the cargo side panel. I have seen a couple people mount them on the passenger side of the tranny hump. Rode in a Frontier with one mounted there, wasn't too intrusive.
  8. Yes the HBs are shorter, probably got a HB set.
  9. If you are going that far, might as well get a Patrol.
  10. Currently my one hose is leaking that goes into the bango fitting at the top of the pump. The leak is from where the hose goes into the fitting. Let me know.
  11. Nah, you just tweaked the body parts enough that they are clear of the tires now .
  12. Yep same glass on both; same size, latch and hinge locations
  13. I don't think body swaps look bad, unless things don't line up. Like the frame sticks out 2 feet out the back, or the wheel wells are not over the wheels.
  14. Here's a pic of them. Also, for chrome, just sand it and paint it black.
  15. Only one type of clears made for our WDs and those are stock tail lights on New Indonisian trucks (yes they still make/sell the WD-21 there). Someone on here was trying to track down a way to import them a while ago, but never heard one way or the other if they could.
  16. Since it is cable, the BL has no effect on the shifter height. As for shortening it, it probably wouldn't bee too hard, just have to be carefull of the wiring. I would assume just pull the handle part off, remove the square shaft cover and cut the shaft, then cut the suare cover to match and reassemble. probably have to shorten the lock rod also. (The cable attaches under the selector area, so it wouldn't even be part of the equation.)
  17. Are all the power steering hoses good? If so how much do you want for them?
  18. Usually a good idea for the reason you mentioned. Other wise do everything and have the pump fail in 10k and have to do everything all over again.
  19. Do you have a smoke machine or a smike bomb handy (other smoking object might work also). Just blow smoke around the intake area and watch for it to get sucked in someplace.
  20. Could be as simple as a wheel out of balance or bent. One way to check; if the steering wheel doesn't vibrate rotate the tires then drive it up to speed. If you feel the vibration in the steering wheel then rotate one side back and drive up to speed again, if it still vibrates the wheel then you found one bad one. Rotate both sides and see if you feel it in the wheel, if not then just one bady, if so, check both for balance and bends. If the steering is shaking now, rotate one side to start.....
  21. IIRC you should be good, the switch over was mid year 93 on timing belt and related parts.
