So are most of the SUVs out there -thnkboutit-
-
Yeah, to get at it you have to pull the cluster out and change the bulb. I'll let an R50 owner explain how, I have no idea if they are like an older Pathy for dissasembly.
-
Sounds like some kinda disease.

I see ya got Snoopy tailgunnin' for ya I thought about adding a shelf in mine like that, but it would hang too low if I put it in the rear like that (speakers in the roof), and be a headache to a rear passenger if I went in front of the speakers.
-
Just get the L&P Idler and be done with it
-
Well, he didn't say US available Nissan parts did he? How about some HG260s? sly
-
Got pics, should have them up tomorrow.
-
About as close as I get is sitting at the light reving, then let them be an idiot and go squeeling away at the green (especially fun when you spy the cop sitting there that they didn't ).
-
Forgot the Extinguisher mounted under the inside spare, and my remote for the stero is there also. I also have an inverter and air compressor but I keep them loose so I can use them where I need them.

Eninges were probably the same size, most chicks get the V6 stangs

I think if nothing else it is a reality check. People who had a SUV or other large vehicle for some sort of status BS are starting to realize vanity ain't everything. The ones with money to burn don't care ever, the ones who bought one out of neccisty (large family) are trying to deal, and the ones who didn't need/ can't afford one to begin with are getting rid of the thing and getting what they should have. Maybe once the smoke clears they will build usefull ones again.... (yeah right)

I'll just go over the 93's mods; -Added map lights, foot well lights, ash tray and cig lighter lights from a 93 SE. -2 guage cluster between the steering wheel and center console (tranny and volt). -GPS mount above driver's left vent -Toyota 4Runner altimeter/ level guage, center top of dash. -Red (fadded to orange now) Grant steering wheel. -Red and Black pedal covers (actually usefull, my foot kept slipping off the gas before). -Painted center dash bezel and door speaker grills Aztec Red like exterior. -Red light conversion in guage cluster. -Red light gels added in temp controls, and dome lights. -Mini Mag mounted by auto shifter -D cell Mag lite mounted on passenger side "D' pillar (by hatch). -12V outlet mounted in the plastic under the Mag. Not quite interior, but close; upgraded to power heated mirrors. Stereo: Sony Xplode CD head, tweeters in front are Rockford Fosgate, and repositioned at top of B pillars, front door speakers are Pyle 5x7, rear speakers are Eclipse 5x7 with stock tweets.

Got them at a local truck topper shop, "Fun Trails". Paid way too much (got a grill guard also), before I knew better . Sold the GG but liked the Tail grills. I'll get some more pics today. The unbent one's pad sits on the edge of where the light meets the body, the bent one sits just past the edge fully on the body IIRC.

You can, but it takes a while and still no guarantee it will not put a kink in the roof. Take a piano or guitar wire and feed it in between the support and the roof. Then slide it back and forth across the brace through the glue. FYI wear gloves and don't wrap the wire around your fingers or hand.

I would start there. I had a Honda with a hydro clutch and the boot on the slave was letting air in, but wasn't leaking fluid.
-
You can see mine here: IIRC 3 screws through the inside of the light and then there is a rubber pad that rests on the body on the side. They work well for brush protection, but I have ripped one off by catching it on a tree. Banged it back into shape and reattachet it no trouble though. I can get better pics if you want/need. Edit to add they are the Maniks.

I have a D ring in the hitch for my 93. On the 88 I notched the bumper and bolted a hook to the end of each frame rail.

Might have ECU issues, dunno. I used to hear that you could go auto-manual without and ECU swap, but not manual-auto. Though recently I saw someone was having issues with an auto ECU after the swap.... As for fitment, all the route holes and base mounting points are there in the firewall. I think you need to swap the Master Cylinder also, for the hydro clutch.
-
Yep, though the front diff may have different matting flanges for the CVs and therefore use the 27 spline axels. Also, the block, heads and accessories will work, but the intake will need to be swapped (along with some sensors that are different between an I and E engine).
-
Yeah, but it will last better than plain old paint. Best option would probably be to cover it with cloth, vinyl, or leather. That is if you are halfway decent with upolstery.

1. I don't know, I took the carpet and most of the floor sound-deadener out (rusted under it). It does help keep it warm in the winter. 2. It was the same thickness as the ribs in the roof (what the headliner attaches to) so it just fit right in between them with no troubles. The material is a kind of foam rubber/ fiberglass material with the foil facing on it. I got the roll for $11 at Pep Boys. As for cutting the supports, yes you would need to build a frame in around whatever hole you cut. The supports do help keep the sides from trying to fold into eachother (especially in a crash). Ever watch "Trucks" on Spike? Stacey did a slidding rag top on a full size Chevy crew cab. He got a kit that had a support brace thatwent around the hole. Something to remember though, depending on how large you go, even putting in support around the hole will not counter the stress of the sides wanting to fold in. Eventually the openning might start to look like this ) (.

Get some vinyl paint at the parts store, it works good, and remains flexible.
-
There is a main support under the hump, then if you look at the headliner you should see 2 sets of 2 push plugs in the rear, each set is in a crossbrace that is glued to the roof. Here is an inside pic of my 88's roof from when I added insulation in it: Pic

No interfearance with the Power Steering or belts?

Sorry, could care less about big sweaty men jumping on each other while playing hide the ball. But you might get blood on that fancy interior
