  1. I feel as if it is time I reply to this topic. You all don't know how hard this is for me. I have screwed up, and it is time I address that. But, as some of you may realize, it's not all entirely my fault. Just to let you know what's been going on in my life, although you probably won't care, I have been suffering from MAJOR depression, and the Nissan community hasn't helped that AT ALL. I had suicidal thoughts, although I never attempted it. I was nearly divorced, I saw the papers. My life was falling apart. I am getting the help I need now, and things are getting better. My wife tried to sheild me from the outside world to protect me, and probably didn't help matters a whole lot. Lee deserted me. I wouldn't wish what I went through on my WORST enemy. This has probably put the final nail in the coffin of L&P. Yes, I put most of them there myself. I would like to try and rebuild L&P, but I'm not sure that that is possible. If people can CALMLY email me at phildawkns@aol.com and tell me what they want from me, I will reply to ALL of you and tell you what I can do and in what kind of timeframe. Please give me a few days to return your emails. I know I owe some of you money, and I know I owe some of you parts. Given time, I WILL make good on ALL my obligations. Phil
  2. The "small" end of both pitman and idler arms are all the same, ANY year, ANY truck, as long as it has a Centerlink. The "Big" end of the pitman arm is different. Up till about 1993, they used a smaller sector shaft, and hence, a smaller "big" end on the PA. From 1993 on, ALL trucks (with a CL) use the same size PA. They are NOT interchangeable. So, if you have a 1994 Pathy, you can use a Xterra PA on it. Same part. There is a NOTICABLE difference on the splined hole in the "big" end. I can identify them on sight. If you compare them, it's REAL easy to see. It might be advantagous to "upgrade" to the newer steering box. Bigger sector shaft would have to be stronger, methinks. However, I don't know if X or Fronty steering boxes would work, only becasue of the steering shaft connection. Stick with a Pathy/HB box and you should be OK.
  3. Who? I sure wish they'd contact ME! We were just a bit behind from the holidays, but are caught up now and doing fine.! Jeeze.....rumors.... Oh, and, I dissapeared? Seems it was this 'board that dissapeared. And, yes, I read around, and know the reason why. Unlike some folks starting rumors.
  4. First off, I HAVE emailed "wheel366". I won't post his email addy here for obvious reasons. I forgot that it's my fault if my email doesn't get through or get sent to his "Spam" folder. MXExtreme, thanks for all the help. You call me "incommunicado" when you have replied to a post of mine within the last week? And you probably have MORE ways to get ahold of me than ANYBODY? Again, thanks. And now, I REALLY become the bad guy when I state the the return address for cores has and is on the FRONT PAGE of the "Steering" section. And, yet again, I am put in a "no win" situation. No matter what I say or DON'T say, it just makes things worse, even if I'm right.
  5. Yes, you will have to swap pans and pickup at the least. Oil pump is (basically) the same. If you REALLY wanna get crazy, swap in a 300ZX oil pump. Higher volume. Also, the 4wd pan is deeper, but less total capacity, by almost a quart. But, the 2wd pan won't fit in a 4wd truck. At least not with the front diff and crossmember in place.
  6. In Illinois, for parks we have: Rockport Offroad Park The Cliffs Insane Terrain Also, there are a few "roads" in the Shawnee National Forest that are decent 4x4 trails. Never been on those roads, so don't know EXACTLY where they are, but have heard they ARE there. Someday, I will explore. I've been to both parks, and they are decent, although not huge. Something for about everybody at both parks. Some BADASS rocks at RORP. Watch The Cliffs when it's REAL wet. There are some "bottomless" mudholes there. Also, getting just a bit further away, the folks at RORP, Tom and Debbie Wombles, have opened up a NEW park just a few miles down the road in Missouri, called "Hannibal Rocks". Mostly rocks, from what I hear, but don't know. Haven't been there yet. There isn't a website for ity yet, but lots of info and links on RORP's home page.
  7. Will the back hatch glass from an '88 Pathy fit a '93 Pathy?
  8. FREE shipping on ALL L&P Steering Systems! (Lower 48 states only). Untill November 10, 2006. Get 'em now!!!! Just something else we are trying to do for you!!
  9. Yeah, I try to encourage them without forcing them. Maybe they'll be welding your next L&P Steering system!! Well, not anytime soon......hehehheee But I also know there not gonna learn much by not at least trying. I know the welds aren't great, but at least "it" holds together. And that's a step in the right direction at least. I try to teach them without it being too much like school so they hate it. At least they're interested and want to learn and do it. Hmmmmmmmmmm.....L&P and Son(s)....((LEE!?!?!))???? heheheheee
  10. My 11 year old son and a 16 year old friend of ours were out playing with my welder in the shop. This is what they came up with. First time the 16 year old had ever welded. Scrap metal out of the bin.
  11. Which is better, Ford or Chevy, McDonalds or Burger King? It's somewhat personal preference, and somewhat what you're gonna use it for. IFS is better for bumpy roads. SFA is better for articulation(Usually).
  12. I have a dream where I see myself in, sort of, Sun God robes, on a pyramid, with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at me. Why am I the only person that has that dream?
  13. Oh good Lord. Is that all? Not surfing the interweb much? That's pretty mild stuff.
