MY1PATH
JN8- So we Drive "Japan multi purpose" vehicles not suv's or tucks but JMP's my vin is D1 for digit 5&6 I would assum D1 (which is not listed) is pathfineder (wd21) and myabe hardbody pickup (d21) since d2 Is frontier/ exterra (d22) Interesting find. Funny it has the vg30i on there but it doesn't have years below 97 listed and the i was long gone by then.
GrimGreg
Yeah, it is a newer decoder, but the HB and Pathy both were D1. As for years; J=88, K=89,.... Also, the "Misc." are going to be a little different for 95 and older.

Alkorahil
say where does it tell you the chip key code That can only be gotten from an internal dealer terminal. It may also be written in the owners manual, there may also be a decal in the glove box with the key code. frecklecolouredbrain
JN8- So we Drive "Japan multi purpose" vehicles not suv's or tucks but JMP's the poster got it a little wrong J= japan N= nissan( just as H=honda...bleh, and T=toyota) 8= vehicle type for manufacturer...yes it means MP. it has to. there is nothing sport about it. ***interesting note*** I looked at a late 80s chevy wagon...same character. this is what brought about the "chicken tax" for more info check this link Linky Edited April 2, 2010 by LittleReD89
ahardb0dy
here is what the VIN number decodes to for my 94: this is the model id broken down this is taken from decoding the VIN #: this is the VS code packages, (the last 2 numbers of the model info): and this is the VS code for the LE package:
1994SEV6
***interesting note*** I looked at a late 80s chevy wagon...same character. this is what brought about the "chicken tax" for more info check this link Linky that's not true at all...the chicken tax was implemented in 1963 by Lyndon B. Johnson. Even if it wasn't in 1963, a Chevy Wagon would have nothing to do with the chicken tax whatsoever. The chicken tax was a tax on IMPORT light TRUCKS. Not domestic wagons. Hey, you may be cool, but don't go around making @!*% up. Thanks.

ahardb0dy
Very cool link !! I ran the Vin for my pathfinder, sentra and my old 87 hardbody, hardbody report showed no owners after 2001, that's when I traded it in at a dealer. But if it went to an auction it should say it, I did a search for the Q45 we used to have and that one showed it went to an auction than was in an accident and was destroyed , Hardbody report is Weird. Leo94
Doesn't work for me I get the message We are sorry, but the vehicle history report cannot be displayed at this time. Please ask the dealer for a copy of an AutoCheck report for this vehicle. Maybe its because im in Australia?

Alkorahil
I have to appologize to SIM The software at work only allows us to decode US and Canadian models. I also have a Japanese JDM cataloge software, but I cant read Japanese.....just part numbers which is what we use it for primarily.
