The rear tires don't rub at all (even with moderate flexing).

dududuckling
Year: 2000 SE Lift : AC 2" coils Wheels : Stock OEM wheels 16x7" (no wheel adapter) Tires : Michelin X-Ice 265/70/16 for winter and BFG KM2 255/75/16 for summer Notes: For both winter and summer setups, there's no rubbing on struts or inner wheel well when turning at full lock or bouncing at any angle. I had the BFGs before I installed the lift and ARB bumper, that's why they were that small and no rubbing either. 180sx
Compare the 33's with 2" lift and 6.5" lift, and looks like you need some 34's now! Maybe even 35's on some 10" wide wheels, my friend. And conforming with post guidelines, here is my update: Year: 1996 Lift: Negative (it sags) Wheels: Stock SE 15x7 with 4.25BS (I believe, maybe 4.5?) Tires: 265/75R15 Bridgestone Dueler AT (30.60"x10.43") Notes: No rubbing at all and has plenty of room to clear the strut. esy
updated.... Year: 2002 Lift: OME HD 928 front with KYB GR2/Excel G (i have one of each and they are exactly the same) and OME MD 922 rear with KYB Gas a Just Wheels: stock 16" tri-stake Tires : Michelin X Radial LT2 - 255/70/16 obviously no rub. didn't rub before, doesn't rub now. still have a ton of tire left, but am still considering if i should go with 265/70/16 when i get new tires again down the road. not sure since i don't think i can stuff a 265/70/16 into the spare wheel spot without it rubbing on the panhard or my tow hitch. one day i'll grab a tire and see if i can or not or if i can deal with not having a true, full-size spare if i go with the bigger size. no pictures because i'm lazy about taking pictures. sorry. maybe one of these days. haha. iPhone pic. not that great, but it does the job well enough for now. am probably going to be getting some ProComp black steelies in 16x8 with a 3.75" BS sometime in the near future. who knows when exactly, but sometime soon, i'm hoping. OBDIII
I'd like to contribute my current setup, the Craigs-Junkyard-List Special! TRUCK: 1997 SE 4x4 5spd LIFT: NO LIFT TIRES:El-Dorado MTZ Sport 265/75/R16 RIMS: 1995 Honda Passport 12 slot Alloys 16x7.5 w/ 4"ish Backspacing VERDICT: No rub in the rear, flexed as far as stock can go(sway bar still connected) Front fender wells I hit with a heat gun and while still gooey I formed them away from the areas where they contacted the bigger tires. There is now at least 1" of clearance at any point all around the tires in the front wheel wells. Cleared the strut no problems. The only rubbing occurs while going in reverse with the steering wheel locked to the right. -Mario Edit: Pics added Edited October 24, 2011 by OBDIII
01burgundyQX4
Year: 2001 QX4 Lift: Stock suspension Wheels: Stock 17" Wheels Tires: 265-70-17 Nitto Terra Grapplers Notes: Had to heat up the front fender liners and re-form the plastic several times. Added new bolts and fender washers between the bumper cover and the bottom of the steel bumper backup to lift the bumper cover and gain front fender clearance. I took out the turn signals/fog lights to heat one side of the fender liners while pushing out on the fender liners with my hand between the tire and the liner. I used leather work gloves and the heat from the heat gun is practically unnoticeable. I think I notice a little rubbing in reverse at times, it's really minor. No problems with the strut, but it is really close. On some severe dips it will bottom out and rub on the front fender flair connections at the top. I think the stock springs are sagging some, and I could add strut spacers and probably fix the bottom out issue, but I think I will raise it 2". I have removed my running boards, the steel frames were pretty rusty. Edited December 22, 2011 by 01burgundyQX4
dynomax
Year: 2001 Lift: AC Coils , GR2 Struts, Rancho 9000xl shocks Wheels: stock 16" OEM SE Offset +20 Tires: Firestone Destination MT 265/75R16 Notes: Eventhough the Tire WAS fitting under the strut, there was about 1/16th" of space. fearing that the tire was going to eventually hit the strut at highway speed (expansion), I decided to fit Wheels Spacers 1.25". Had to trim part of the lower front bumper and to recess part of the plastic inner fender. Total about an inch of trimming. Well, first of all, your truck looks great. Problem I'm having is I can't see how even a 265/70/16 will fit let alone a 265/75/16 (Looking at a Duratrac). I don't see a lot of wheels like your saround (these are exactly what I have). I have 245/75/16 right now, and it looks like about 3/4" more room! and my Baja ATZ are wore! Anyway, if you think it'll fit, I am going to try! I am thinking of going w/ the 2" strut spacers up front, and new coils for the rear. I think your truck looks just like what I want. Thanks fro your help. I'm in New Brunswick by the way!
