  1. I do have 2" AC coils up front. I have an ARB front bumper with a winch that weighs down the front end just about an inch. So in order to level the truck out a little I had to use the NX4 spacers. Rick, I ended up using longer bolts and installing them on top of the SFD spacers for the struts. This way I didn't have to disassemble the strut to add the spacer. So, actually it is like having a regular 6" lift because the front end is lower by about an inch due to the bumper and winch. 2" AC coils with 4" SFD up front 6.5" Jeep coils cut just like Ricks in the rear with adapter from Krypton Fabs I'll take a pic of the strut spacer up front to show you guys later.
  2. Sorry for taking so long to get that pic to you Rick. I didn't think it would fit either but I have a friend who works at the tire shop where I bought them and he let me do a test fit. Love the way they look and drive. I actually followed your build and went with the same rear springs you did. The only thing I did different was added the NX4 spacers up front because I have the ARB bumper and winch that weighed the front down some.
  3. Thanks man! I went with BF Goodrich KM2 305/70/16 and they fit great. I have about a quarter of an inch of space between the tire and the strut. I also went with Pro Comp Rock Crawlers 16x8 with 3.75" bs. I feel like I need to extend the rear links to bring the rear wheels back to center them in the wheel wells. Anyone know if someone makes adjustable links? I also want to re-install my rear sway bar but it doesn't fit. Does anyone make longer arms or quick disconnect links for the rear sway bar?
  4. Like two months but I was only working on it an hour or two at a time. Work and school are what made it take so long.
  5. Is it possible to go with 4" back spacing with a 305/70x16 or do I need 3.75 back spacing to clear the strut? The wheels I want only come in 4" bs. I have 2" AC coils with 4" SFD. Thanks in advance.
  6. Thank you!! That's exactly what I was looking for. I knew I saw your install before. Stay tuned for another SFD install...
  7. I'm going to start my SFD install tomorrow but I can't see any of the pics from most of the posts. Anyone know why? I can't see shift220's pictures at all and thats what I was planning on following. Kevin
  8. I have BFG A/T on my 01 and have 66,000 miles on them and they still have a decent amount of tread left. I just bought a set of them for my wife's Xterra. I have had nothing but good things to say about them especially in the snow.
  9. Well, I have the SFD (still not installed, will get to it in the very near future) and the 1" Nx4 spacers. I will be installing both because I have the ARB bumper with a winch that puts enough weight on the front end that it has dropped 1". So when I have it all on, it will still have the 4" SFD and will be level front to back. All together it will have 2" 4x4parts suspension with the 4" SFD=6" lift. Can't wait!!! So, if you plan on a bumper and winch, keep the spacers with the SFD. Hope this helps.
  10. The front right wheel sounded like something broke. I was camping in Colorado offroad when it happened and I didn't think I was going to get down the mountain. If I grabbed the wheel on the top and pulled it towards me it would move in and out (this is if I'm facing the side of the tire) with a clunking sound.
  11. Dude, I went through the same thing about 4 months after I installed my 2" lift. (Haven't installed the SFD yet) When I would drive I thought my friggin wheel was going to fall off. I replace the balljoint, then checked the wheel bearings and still couldn't figure it out. I kept over looking the suspension cause it was brand new. Turns out I blew a strut. If you have the dust covers on the strut, pull it up while someone else stands inside the door while holding onto the roof rack. Have them rock the truck from side to side while you look at the strut. I was pissed when I found this out because I had already replace the balljoint that had nothing wrong with it. Problem was I screwed it up removing it so I had to install the new balljoint. Oh well. Live and learn.
  12. Hey Rick, I'm about to buy my wheels and tires so I'll have them ready when I install the SFD. Why do you wish you had the 3.25 bs wheels? I was going to get the 3.75 bs and BFG KM2s 285/75-16 which are 33.1". Do you think I should get the 3.25? Also, I need to figure out what I'm going to do for the rear part of the lift. What are you planning on doing? Can't decide if I should get new springs that are long enough or have someone build me some spacers. Cheers, Kevin
  13. There were about 25 2001 Pathfinders on the lot and I walked around and looked inside each one until I came across a 5 speed and it was the only one on the lot. I bought it right away!
  14. I'm planning on buying steel 16x8 wheels. My truck should look almost just like Rick13's. I have the same color blue but my bumpers and fender flairs are dark grey. And of course slightly larger tires if I can get them to fit. I might be getting the money needed to purchase the wheels, tires, and get the rears coil spacers made this week!!! I know what I'm doing over Christmas break!!!
  15. Thanks for the offer! You can count on hearing from me when the time comes. Probably January or so.
  16. That's what I'm doing too. I bought my complete SFD kit with steering parts, extended SS brake lines and all from Andrew/shift220 but just need to make the rear spring spacers and then I'm set. The big thing I'm waiting on is $$ for new tires. Question on tire size. I can't decide if I should get the 285/?/16's or the 305/?/16's. They both measure out to be 33.1 inches in diameter. The 305 is just obviously wider. I'm getting the BFG M/T KM2s. Do you guys think the 305s will even fit? Kevin
  17. I'm in for that Andrew. I have a SFD that is just waiting for me to install. All I need is rear spring spacers and money for some BIG tires!!! I currently live in Virginia but am from Colorado. I will drive to CO for a SFD R50 gathering!! Kevin
  18. That's what I thought. How much did your custom springs run you? It's been a while since I've looked but didn't you get them from coilsprings.com or something like that? Would they have the specs for yours on file? I have a 4" SFD and 2" AC lift. Thanks man! Kevin
  19. Is anyone making rear spacers for sale yet? It's the only thing I need to complete my SFD. I bought the SFD kit from shift22 in early spring but he didn't sell the rear spring spacers. If I can get this on this winter, you can count me in for Gone Moab. Thanks, Kevin
  20. Rick, yes I'm going with KM2's. I was going to get 16x9 wheels but one guy told me to get 16x10's. I'm probably going to stay with the 3.75" backspacing but don't know what width I need. Kevin
  21. Oh my God Dude, that looks soooo awesome!!!!! So what backspacing would be correct without adding spacers? I have a 4" SFD from Shift220 that I need to install. I currently have the AC 2" lift and am wondering what backspacing I need when I purchase my wheels. I don't want to have spacers if possible. I have a 2001 so I need 16 inch wheels and need to know what width and backspacing for the wheels. I'm planning on going with the 315/75x16 (BF Goodrich site says that's a 34.8" tire!!). I'm guessing the backspacing will be around 3"(?) to clear the strut but what width should I get? This has been baffling my mind. Looks great man!!!! More pics please!!! Kevin
