does anyone know what the stock length is for the rear? Jose
-
What do you do with that one little hose that connected to the airbox? I have an intake I made with some random nissan MAF adapter, and I just put a little nipple in the back of the filter for the hose to connect to. Is it kind of the same on the JWT? Jose
-
I believe those are for diesel engine only, but i could be wrong.
-
Why would it be an issue? Only issue would be with the wheel cover (part that covers lugs) but you can always cut that). So what would be the issue? Jose
-
I made my own Intake. A lot cheaper than buying one. Jose

I don't think AC does. At least it's not on this page. https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/performance-oil-relocation-kits-c-367_333.html Jose

New idea. Do you think the Patrol brakes could be made to work? Maybe not. Hmm... Wish I had pics of an axle...
-
oil filter relo kit might not work. I believe a bracket is in the way. Didn't Ty try this already with no luck? Jose
-
That sounds about right from what I got. Axle spline count has nothing to do with it (as originally thought). I think this is a worthwhile upgrade. If the D22 and X use it, and they should have the same drums we do, then this is an upgrade. I'm excited about this. Jose

Hey, don't rain on my suggestions!! AAHHH!! Of course he needs all of this. YOU NEED ALL OF IT!! Jose

2003 R50 Performance Exhaust Options

True. And if he is going SS then he would have to order pre-made pieces anyway. So yea... -
HEY! Glad to see you made it over here. So here are the mods you should do: Manual Hubs AC 2" lift springs KYB GR2 struts up front New shocks in back (I'm not sure which, but hear Bilstein are the way to go for 2" lift) NX4 1" front spacer - If you don't do an SFD (to get rid of the rake if yo don't like it) SFD - contact shift220 about this (check the pinned topics to learn more about this mod) Polyurethane rear bushings and maybe do the fronts too! (or if you got the money, those links from rugged rocks I showed you on the other forum are bad ass!!) Fluerys skid plate (and he has another one in development! And makes one specifically for the SFD!) Rear hitch if you don't have one 32" tires 15 or 16 x8 wheels (with about 4" of back spacing) new steering rack bushings (you'll need them) Snorkel or custom Intake. Thats all I can think of for now. Enjoy! Jose

custom job. Get a good muffler (like flowmaster 40 or 50 series) and have someone weld up some mandrel bent piping in the metal of your choice. Wala. Custom. Any muffler shop should be able to do this. Just make sure its MANDREL bent piping, or your wasting your money (no crush bent or press bent piping). Jose -
Yes, yes it is. Maybe in the pinned topics? Oooo. But to be nice, 31's are about the biggest you can go with no rub, and on stock wheels, too! I know fueler had like 32" tires (they were like 275/75R16 or something) on his stock Pathy way back when and he said he got away with it with no real problems. You can search for that thread (it has pics). Jose

You're right. Now that I think about it, this was done with a WD21/D21 axle. The WD21 had a rear disk option. so ebrake was made to work with it. Damn. But, I wonder of there is a way, with a little modification, to make the rear brakes work from a WD21...Hmm... Might work. Looking at the diagrams on courtest nissan, alot of the parts from the wd21 and r50 drums are the same. the internals are a bit different, but uses the same shoes, cylinder, rear plate assembly, ect. The thing i don't get though, is that if you order a complete drum brake assembly, even though the diagrams show that they have some differences, the part numbers for the whole assembly is the same. makes me wonder... wd21 r50 Jose
-
interesting. But which pathfinder brakes did he use? WD21 or R50?
-
It can wait a little I guess. There is going to be some play, but excessive is bad. Just be careful.
-
did they replace the front strut mounts? if not then that could be it. with the hood open, push down on fender and see if you see play in the strut mount. jose
-
Have you looked at your strut mounts? That's what it sounds like. OR it could even be your strut. Both these have happened to me in the past.
-
This would be my main reason for getting longer ones. I know I like to pull down on my control arm a little to get the strut out or CV axle out, so the brake lines get pulled as well. And then who's to say you're out wheeling one day, the strut mount fails and your wheel comes down because it's in the air, rips the brake line and fluid is everywhere it shouldn't be? OK, so this is a really worst case scenario, but seeing as how my mounts failed me three times in 2 years, not unlikely. Jose

Options For Pulling My Truck Out By The Rear
180sx replied to exit34rocker1017's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Why don't you want a hitch? They have so many uses!! Jose -
Don't worry. It's normal. Most kits do this. You'll get used to it. You could always go to a local 4x4 shop and get limiting straps if you REALLY don't want to hear it. Jose

So upon doing research for A turbo R50, I remember something about a VG34E engine. went to the FS section and found the person selling the 90-94 VH45DE pistons and VG30DE rods. Went to here http://web.archive.org/web/20070813103317/www.nissanperformancemag.com/february05/pathfinder/ to read more about it. Now it made me wonder about the heads. IS it that you just have to keep the head from the vehicle you have, or do VG30E heads (post 87) flow better than our VG33E heads? Does anybody know? Jose
