  1. Not At all. They were well greased when put it (don't know what kind). And on top of that, the owne said that grooves were made in the direction of the bushings. He said it helps hold more grease to keep the bushings lubed well longer. Jose
  2. Yea, My fuel low light doesn't work anymore (it does sometimes, but not very often (maybe once every few months?)
  3. 4.3XX(MT) and 4.6XX(AT)(Terrano's had a wider range). Some have LSD in rear, some don't. ARB makes air locker for front and rear. Other R200 front diffs (frontier and Xterra for example) parts won't interchange (such as new R&P) because we have reverse cut gears and ours are high pinion design versus low for the rest. Theres a sticky on how to tighten up your LSD with more plates. Anything else? Jose
  4. Winter equals more work load! The cold air is always cooling down the motor alot so the metal is contracting/expanding alot (very little) but enough to make your engine have some blow-by more than normal making you use more fuel. Make sense? And as for the gas gauge, mine does that too. Sometimes it'll be stuck on below E, even after I fill it. It just gets stuck when it's cold.
  5. just clean it. Then go from there. start free, right?
  6. as for the brakes being touchy, slcik roads plus no abs * locked brakes = sliding R50. Mine does the same. Just Slow down sooner and you'll be fine.
  7. Poly bushings would be a wise choice IMO (I just drove a pathy that had poly bushings front and rear, and let me tell you, what a difference!!)
  8. Pathy's that had rear tire carriers were reinforced to support the weight. You would have to weld in some metal where you would mount it.
  9. Timing comes to mind. How many miles? And have you chanegd the timing belt?
  10. Speaking of the front. I was talking to a friend about this, and he had an idea. We all know our struts kind of hinder wheel/tire selection. Well, what if the spring mount on the strut was cut and a smaller one put on. Then a coil could be made that would decrease in diameter to match the new mount. It would be a progressive rate spring. This would make tire clearance a little better, yes? What do you think of that? jose
  11. Oh, well in that case than a sway bar could help a bit more than normal! Hit up some junk yards!
  12. Brush guards, IMO, are a waste of energy. Search through the threads and you'll see a post talking about them. Has a picture or 2 of the damage they can cause. But, if you have one already installed, why are you looking for more info? They are all pretty much the same.
  13. You know, I have to agree. I drove a buddies pathy that had no rear sway bar, and it made no difference at all to me. You really can't notice it. Can't say if it flexes any different as I haven't tried that with his, but it's probably better not to worry about it. You could always go to the junkers and see if it's there. (Cash for clunkers killed a lot of pathy's). But what is the reason for you wanting the sway bar anyway? Is your pathy swaying on the road or something? You might want to check your rear control arm bushings just in case. jose
  14. It's probably from the valve covers. I replaced mine at 147K miles and they were hard as a rock and just broke when I pulled them off. Mine was leaking all over my exhaust manifold and smoking. Not hard to change, driver side might give you some trouble with the intake manifold, but should be easy enough ( I would get new gaskets for the IM if you do this.) Jose
  15. Nice truck. I'd also like to know where you got these 3" springs from. Here is the link to a thread that shift220 did for his SFD. should have all the answeres you need in there. SFD Sticky Jose
  16. Well, if the FJ40 needs work, then just swap the tires for now, and worry about it later for the FJ40 (bad ass Toyota BTW. I want one).
  17. I'm not sure. VQ's started in 01 right? Or was it 02? If this is a VG, then it must be from the body style change. My oil cooler is a front mount cooler (I have a 96). Yea, whats up with that part? Jose
  18. $561!! holy crap. Talk about an @$$ rape quote.
  19. Ty, if was without question then no one would ask which ones to get!
  20. KYB GR-2's. I have these on the front of my pathy and I love them (I have no lift). You could always get the KYB shocks to match. If not those, Then Munro shocks ride real smooth. I had those for a while. Jose
  21. Well, I have bald tires! and one has a nail in it! Go Taro, go! But I'm just waiting on tax returns. But yea, if you thought your pathy was bad@$$ withbald tires, imagine what it can do with new tires. Jose
  22. Can I borrow a dollar? Jose
  23. Andrew's signature has a list of his mods. Looks awesome bro! Love the way the tires 'curve' on the rims. Best look IMO. Now I wonder how much trimming I'll have to do when these 15x10's finnaly get mounted (although I'll have to use 31's to begin with due to no lift at all, sucks big time). I would love to see the pics of the trimming you did. very informational $h!t. Jose
