Never mind. Courtesy says the brakes are the same. Answers my question. Oh Well. http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfinder-parts-r50-1996-2004/genuine-nissan-parts/brake/441-rear-brake/-c-4700_4701_4806_4808.html Jose

Hi. SO I have a small window of time where I can get a rear end from a VQ pathy for free. Only benefit I see from this is if the brakes are bigger and the LSD is tighter (if this one has it, if not I can swap mine in). Does any body know if they upped the drum brakes for the VQ's? I know the the fronts were made bigger, but what about the rear? Thanks! Jose

If you read more into it, this isn't really a hard swap. Get a donor motor, and take the pieces. They only swapped over stuff from the vg30 to 33 to make it work for the z31 chassis. All you would need is the main turbo stuff, the cams (maybe, I would look into getting Maxima cams for mid level power), the ecu wired to work, a different MAF, new exhaust and custom plumbing. Sure theres little things, but this seems real doable. You wouldn't NEED an intercooler, as the stock motor doesn't have it,and the Z31 guys say at stock levels, it doesn't do much good anyway. I'm really going to look more into this (starting with the ECU). The VG33ER is probably easier, and it has been done before, but a turbo is just wicked. And ty, this isn't a quad cam like te Z32 VG30DETT, so that's not an issue. I'll get back to this!! Jose

So I've been looking at Z31 stuff to see what can we do with our engines. Ran across this. http://z31.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10010 Everything is just pretty much bolted on from the VG30ET. This looks so cool...Only issues are engine bay room and engine control, but the latter shouldn't be too hard if you have the schematic. I know this has been discussed before, but that was a long time ago, so now that we have some new members, maybe we can get more input from them. I'm currently looking into finding a 300ZXT donor car.. Jose

LockRight lockers coming soon for the 33-spline 98-04 nissans
180sx replied to FUELER's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
unfortunately 31 spline and 33 spline parts are not interchangeable as far as I've seen/heard. -
So in a nutshell, you don't need to change your wheels or tires. You'll be fine. Jose

Question About Leveling A Stock R50...
180sx replied to ascdesigns's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
http://www.nx4industries.com/ I would recomend these 1" spacers. message daddyrim and ask him some questions about them. Jose -
I have 15x10 wheels on my rig now with 3.75" BSa nd 31x10.50 tires. I would not recomend getting this wide wheel. I have no lift. It rubs at full crank. I have to trim a little. I haven't had a chance to flex it out, but I will. I'm pretty sure that it will hit the top of the fender though, as it sticks out a good 2" past them. Just so you know. I'm still gonna do some more research and get a new post with the results. Jose PS rigs are looking awesome guys.

I think you just need to take it off.It might be just someloose dirt or something. I had this happen to a friends truck one time. It was fine except it knocked the shoe alignment somehow.

I have a 96 SE with the dual and homelink. I never use either, as I wear sunglasses and my garage door is manual. But nice feature to have in case anyway...If no one posts pics I'll post it up.

OK, for the confsuion about the blocks being 2.5" wide. No, they don't make them in this measurement. This came from another board member who said these are the size he used for his SFD. He said that he had them custom cut and welded to this size because they fit better, This was only done on his kit. Don't let the 2.5" wide size confuse you. Thank you. Jose

down right beefy in comparison!
-
Flat head and bfh works like a charm.
-
No doubt. Now you should buy an SFD skid plate from fluery's!
-
is that a can in your engine bay?
-
What about a compromise? Buying this kit, and instructions on how to fill the rest needed. Such as what shocks (part number), a write out of what you need for the brake lines (so you can give it to a brake specialist or order it online even) and ect...it really would be the same as if he went and did it, only he doesn't have to front the money before hand, you know? Or, mudfild can price everything already from where he needs, tells you the total price (with a little profit, if you want) and then you pay in advance, and he gets kit. Only thing about this is we don't want another incident like what happened here not so long ago with nis********7 (kind of censored for it's not really anyones place to tell except those involved), you know? my two cents Jose

try raising the panhard off the axle and tell us if that really works to help lower the roll center!

4 Wheel Drive Shift-On-The-Fly Not Disengaging
180sx replied to Northeaster's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
someone on here had this problem before. It turned out to be the linkage was worn and wouldn't fully 'click' over. Try reversing to see if it helps (I have to do that on my 96 for it to disengage). Jose
