Rim width of the stock 16 alloy wheels?
vengeful replied to Trainman's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Why on earth would you go with 215s? -
Good choice on the BP skids...they are superb!

The rubber strut boots for $400 P/L! You've got to be *Squeedly-Spooch*ing me! That is freaking outlandish! I can't imagine the parts cost more than $10-15, so they're charging you $360 to do something that a Pep Boys Auto Care Center does for $65 a side! Ridiculous!

The timing belt interval is 105,000 on an R50.

With the 1994, the only body lift available that will work with your Pathy is the one for sale from AC (http://www.4x4parts.com). They have different bolts in the rear and AC has outfitted the body lifts with the correct bolts for your application. 2" Body Lift 3" Body Lift There is no difference between an automatic and manual transmission kit. On the automatics, you don't have to do anything with the transmission shifter.

99SE with 111,800 miles.

Yes...it is possible. There are many Automatics with body lifts. I'll find out more specifics tonight, hopefully.

That looks really good! If I....oh, nevermind.

Rock hoppin in the Northeast....HAHAHAHA.... Sorry, I had to. But, you know my story....yes, I have banged them very hard....and they've held up exceptionally well. I've banged them really good a few times, and only have a couple minor scrapes and one little ding to show for it. I've got the Ultimate ones which have a thicker wall thickness. They're definitely worth the money and wait. I should warn you ahead of time, he makes them all to order, so there's a waiting period for them.

That is correct. I bought my 4Crawler sliderz used off a guy with a 2002 who sold his truck. They bolt up to the stock step mounts. Easy as pie.
-
Wait...Pathfinders can go 60?? LMFAO. I agree with you there Nav! Gas prices, while they're not as ridiculous as they used to be, are still about 75 cents higher than I'd like them to be..hah.

Timing belt interval is 105k.

No...the 3.5L came in 2001.

Actually, the 87-89 had the 28 spline, and the 90+ D21 (90-95 Pathfinder and 90-97 Hardbody) had the 31 spline axles. The R50 (96-04 Pathfinder) and D22s (98-04 Frontier and 00-04 Xterra) have 33 spline axles. There are mechanical lockers available for the 31 spline axles, but not for the 33 spline axles. The ARB Air Locker (Part # RD24) runs $725, but then you have to add on the cost of the air compressor ($140 for the ARB Compact, and they go up from there), and installation (which can range anywhere from $300-550 and up depending on the shop). So you're looking at quite a pretty penny.

There is no one reason why one should get 15s over 16s. With a 15, you get a little bit more sidewall on the same sized tire than with a 16, also, I think that - depending on the tire - certain sizes are cheaper for a 15 than for a 16.
-
That's in Canadian....so it's really more like $63....
-
They're as reliable as any other Nissan. They'll run forever with proper maintenance.
-
I don't believe they changed much between a 99 and a 2000.....I don't see any reason why these wouldn't work on your truck Tyler. 2

Nice! Is this your first time working with the suspension on a Pathy? I think it's going pretty good so far if that's the only problems you've encountered. You must post pics, too!

Peeling paint on my fender + Rochester winters = Rust.

I've got the same thing on my truck. As soon as I get a chance, I'm going to go at it with a sander. If you feel confident in your abilities, I'd say tackle it yourself. It's not that big of a job - especially if you're going to recover it with Herculiner or POR-15 or the like, as I'm going to do. When I tackle my rust bubbles, I'm going to go at it with my rotary power sander and get it down to the bare metal, then scuff up the lower part of the truck real good with some 400 grit and coat it with Herculiner. If done properly, Herculiner will help to prevent the regeneration of rust. POR-15 is even better at it than Herculiner, but it's also quite a bit more expensive. If you're not confident in your abilities, you can take it to a paint shop and have them give you an estimate. Be prepared to shell out a few hundred bucks for the job though.

Friend gave me a kickass fire extinguisher!

SWEET! Those things look freakin awesome! -
The 90 and later had the KA24E. Check out the forums on AC for more HB info.

Yeah, mine USED to go away when I pressed the brakes...I figure the problem has gotten worse because now a new squeak comes into play when I press on the brakes...haha. Don't worry, I'm getting it fixed soon.
