  1. Cool....I can picture that. No worries on the pics.
  2. Oh, and ship all the tree-huggers to Montana where nobody will bother them.
  3. AKA...Follow the guidelines of TreadLightly!
  4. That's about what I paid...but then again, I did buy 5. And get an alignment and an oil change, and road hazzard.
  5. This is with the lift, no flares and 31s. Edit....man, that is an OOOLLLLLDDDDD picture.
  6. Nick... What did you do with your washer fluid reservoir and coolant tank?
  7. Create a new post. You can create it here, or in Pictures. For the people following along with this thread, you may want to let them know that the pictures are in such-and-such a section.
  8. Maybe the thumbscrews that hold the crossbars into the rails are loose.
  9. No need to change, or extend the shifter at all...just take off the shift knob, put a big piece of pipe over top of it and bend the shifter forwards. That'll tweak it enough that you'll be able to get into 4-lo, and that's all that matters.
  10. You forgot... "Hold my beer and watch this $h**!"
  11. That looks good...but, I think you were a little too conservative with your grinder.
  12. Before you coat it, if you're unsure about your welds, it might not be a bad idea to bring it down to a local college and have one of the machine shop guys take a look at it.

There is no "kit" per se, but I'm sure you can assemble all the necessary parts through eBay and http://www.nissanparts.cc (online Dealership offering discounted prices!). As far as installation goes, it would probably be similar to setting up an aftermarket fog light setup, with the relays, wiring, and switches, except for the stalk mounted switch vs. the dash mounted switch. As far as shocks go, since you'll be doing very little off-road, and no towing, there is no need for a heavy-duty shock like the Rancho 9000s or the Old Man Emus. I suggest the Rancho 5000, or even OEM shocks. The KYB Gas-a-just shocks are very good as well, and offer adjustability (not quite to the degree of the Rancho 9000s), but you can still adapt for various loadings in your truck.
  14. I don't have any experience with the OME struts, but I've used KYB struts on almost every vehicle I've owned with nary a problem.
  15. Stay away from the remote adjuster. It causes the shocks to leak and fail prematurely. Sorry, I don't have the Rancho PN for the 9000s that I have. I do know that they're not made specifically for the Pathfinder but they do work. AC sells them.
  16. Well....I've got about 60,000 very hard abusive miles on my shocks and they're just going now....I figure it's best to change them before I drive cross country rather than wait.
  17. Do you think the shocks need to be replaced? You're the only one who can tell if the shocks are bad. Struts, go with KYB GR-2 Shocks, I've used Rancho 9000s, but I just ordered a set of Bilstein 5100s.
  18. Look on the little placard inside the drivers door, there'll be an axle code there for ya. No matter what, it's going to be an H233b, either with the 4.3, or the 4.6.
  19. I can totally understand why that thread was locked. Harb asked a simple question and the thread turned into a complete flame war.
  20. Well...I don't want to have to modify my skidplates, and I'm very happy with how my truck performs now. I'd probably rather spend the money fixing all the little problems with my truck right now though.
  21. I'm interested in it too, but like I posted on the AC forum, only if they'll work with my existing equipment.
  22. If the outside edge of your tires is worn down, your camber is out of spec. Get the truck aligned. Also, with a bad alignment, this could cause the tires to wear unevenly, creating the noise that you're experiencing. My instincts tell me - from your description - that your tires have become very poorly worn due to a bad alignment, and that is creating the humming noise that you're hearing. Same thing happened on my dads car. I told him he needed new tires because of the noise and he goes, no the tires still have plenty of tread on them. I also told him that he needs to rotate the tires ever 5,000 miles and have an annual alignment check done. He goes...whats an alignment have to do with a car? -thnkboutit-
