Man, I`m reading all the extra posts and saying to myself ' you guys were certainly not lucky`, because I remember when I did this post, it did take me about 4-5 hours to replace the u-joints, but at the time, I had next to no tools and I was doing this with a hammer and sockets... But I remember that once everything was back on, the vibrations were all gone... I`m starting to thing i was lucky ? Who knows, but I can tell that the u-joints are still on the truck and I had no vibrations since then... I guess there is a difference between the rear u-joint I got and the the one you had (hawairish).... I almost feel bad now LOL...

Also, there is a huge difference between the 3.3 and 3.5. I am running 4.36 with 33" and I don't feel like I lost alot of power with it.

I'm still here... I plan on restarting within a month...hang on... :-) -
I used to do mine with a breaker bar...3-4 feet. Was the only way...

whoh... This is major delicate surgery... Good luck...

I would trade...I have seen axle shaft break on a pathfinder before the driveshaft does.... so I think you would be better in a trade...

If you take your time, you will be able to determine if your intake valve timing selenoid is bad (with the ohm resistance test) or if you have an electric short (with the voltage test)... have a look here with a the pages I took from the FSM : http://www.filedropper.com/p1111 Once you determine what is wrong, you will know what the next step is...Changing parts until the problem goes away is never a good solution...find the problem first.. Good luck.

can you give the code you got ?

I will get back.. I really just need the time to refocus and actually finish some of the projects that have been taking way too long.. (like my new garage with a lift that will enable me to finally finish the full skidplates) even in winter time..

I was talking about the joints on the driveshaft...they are called Universal Joints (Ujoints)... as for the half shafts (front axles) , yes they are called cv joints (constant velocity joints).. Sorry for the mix...

The auto TC issue is a misinformation. It has been debunked long time ago. the atx14a TC can play nice with manual hubs as long as you do not use the auto setting.. as for the vibration, you could rule out (or confirm) that it is not your universal joints on your fron driveshaft... Simply remove it and have a road test... you will know rapidly if it is your half shafts or not. Cheers.

If you plan on doing any kind of offroad or camping trip, I always suggest my customers to keep about 1" of rake... because once you pack your truck for the trip, you'll be level and not pointing to the sky ... :-)
