  1. lets also not forget that in the decade the NPORA has been arround R51's have only been arround for half of that time. where as the r50's and wd21's were there the whole.
  2. what kinda horns are those? Are they loud? x2 on having something else for street.
  3. does it ever take longer than in the video, cuase that don't seem that bad. I mean yeah pahtys can start faster than that but that vid don't seem terrible.
  4. I ditched mine the first time I pulled the fan shroud.
  5. or jack up one wheel (neutral no brake) and try to turn it. If it turns you are open if it doesn't you have lsd
  6. Buy 3 qts of anything that says 70w90 or 8w90 and LSD on the bottle. No additve needed. Works in both types of diffs. anyway there should be a little orange LSD sticker above the plug (under the dust an mud)
  7. yeah looks like a chime too no harm in leaving it off.
  8. Why change they the rear end? The H233b is almost as good as a 44.
  9. Mount a tall angle iorn to your bumper mounts and bolt your next bumper over that.
  10. no, its just a straight pipe inside the rad. doesn't hold much. combine that with the very few ounces in the lines going to the tranny and yeah, not much fluid... No worries.
  11. For the record Just about anybodys Auto Hubs are stronger than the Pathfinder Auto Hubs. I know nothing of the Jeep autos but seen many of them on lifted cherokees and wagoneers (as in not been replaced with manuals) so I would guess they are pretty good. Manuals will still always be stonger Just due to the design and the greater amount of contact area inside the hub. Strength asside, 2 nice things about manuals are if you have a traction device up front you can choose to only lock one side to reduce understeer issues in snowy or icy roads and you don't have to feel that slam when they engage on a lose climb.
  12. Researched A/C systems to find out the impact of running a smaller A/C condenser so I could mount thicker coolers(like ones with dedicated fans) next to it instead of thin ones in front or behind it. Found out smaller condensers radiate a little more heat to other coolers in the area (duh) The impact on the AC systems cold air may be noticeable but it is not huge and Both my Pathy's blow pretty damn cold air in the summer as it is... Also learned the the larger the condenser the easier it is for the engine to turn the compressor thus More MPG while compressor is engaged (but it will stay engaged for longer) Thats it. Just reasearch. Does that count?
  13. Technically its a heat exchanger because if the tranny is cold It takes heat from the radiator and if the tranny fluid is hot (hotter than the radiator wich gets up to ~180F) then it will do some cooling. If you don't live in cold climate and make frequent short drives then I recomend bypassing it and installing a Dedicated Transmission cooler. These transmissions Produce heat very easliy so the fluid will heat up just fine even if you bypass the exchanger.
  14. IMO 60mm is pretty Ideal for a 3.3 in an SUV. Some vehcles get a rude throttle response when the TB is too big because you have less refined contol over the air going in.
  15. sounds like you need another shop. Not to mention, free spinning hubs are called free spinning for a reason... yeah the grease friction may cause the shafts to turn a little but at maybe 5% of your wheel speed at the very most.
  16. I made a mini on that cathes the vapors and drains them back into the into intake after they condense. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=25541&view=findpost&p=469477&hl=&fromsearch=1
  17. AND THAT WAS WHEN I WAS DRVING... not when parked
  18. U-haul has all wd21 and r50 pathfinders listed at 3800lbs and they will not let you pull anything that is within 700lbs of that. (no pulling pathy's with pathys)
  19. I had my 89 on a scale @ the scrap yard. After the drop off It was ~4.1k with me + a tx10 and 4 cats sitting in back. 150 me 100 tx10 050 4 cats 200lbs total extra weight that puts it at ~3900lbs. You'd prolly have 3800 if they were 30" or 235 tires instead of my 31" MT's
  20. seems like there's been a flood of bumper topics recently. Maybe I should work on finishing mine...
  21. needng jump starts are no reason to call any vehicle junk. Having to pull the wheel out to get to the battery however, Is a good reason to complain...(my doge, the older ones did not have battery connections in the engine bay)
  22. I think this came up once before on a transplant. IIRC there are 2 differant snot lenghts for the water pumps and one of the lower bolt holes is offset differantly where it bolts thru the oil pump. Do some search, this will be a hard one do find but I think it was discussed here before...
  23. x3 Check for flatness lengthwise, width and diagonally between stud holes.
