  1. just wondering If others have had this problem, I'm guessing its common for pathys that don't have a passenger all the time. my driver t-bar ajuster is noticeably higher than the passenger to keep the vehicle level. I guess 15-20 years of driverside only weight will fatige it faster than the other side.
  2. I have it in my Manual trasmission so it can't only be for auto. I have never held it, I just tap it and go and its not stuck or faulty cause it won't work if I don't push it.
  3. I'm sure. I push mine once, when the key is in the "run" position only, the swithc springs back on its own but when I turn the key form "run" to "start" it starts right up. If you have a blown fuse It still works but you have to hold it and it won't work if you push it in any other key position. EDIT: the correct fuse should be in the top row 2nd to last on the right. the fuse should read the following for that fuse; "A/T CONT SEAT HEATER KICK DOWN 10A"
  4. OK Ok we failed. There are seveal marks on the harmonic balancer which is the outermost pulley on the crankshaft. And there is an pointer coming off of the timing cover that points at them the first mark is 0 to top dead center going clockwise each mark represents 5 degrees. I marked 10 and 15 with a white paint pen so when I set my timing the 2 most relevant indicators show the most rather than trying to count 0-5-10-15 under a blinkin' strobe.
  5. and they gobble it up too fast, toss em a T-bone steak and U'll have time to cut someting outa the belly.
  6. you could just delete the tread to save face even more. then we'd never know(I wont tell)
  7. when I lived in Spokane (in a group home) the guy we lived with made us wash his vehicles 2x a week mostly focusing on spraying the wheel wells and udercarrage. if you set the sprayer right it would freeze and he would bring you a bucket of hot water to thaw it. I wished the faucet wasn't so close to the house so it would freeze. but it worked, no rust and they salt pretty regular over there.
  8. I belive the original bushing cups were tack welded in place. It may take chisel and a hammer but if its worn enough it might just fall out (if its still there).
  9. 1 mote reason to get some skids to eh? That'll slow 'em down!
  10. I got the locking spines! no charge the bearings on them are nice and smooth but not loose. so now I'm on the strongest manual locks out there (according to Nismojunky) and for less than $15. The sanp rings on the manuals were about .060" and I could not get them into the grooves so I used the snap rings from my autolocks which are thinner, prolly .050" I'm sure thats ok right? I also scored an SE steering wheel (4 spokes) to repalce my XE wheel(2 spokes) so the spokes aren't where I want to put my hands anymore!
  11. the magnaflow cat listed for your vehicle should bolt right up the Part number is 22760 and is listed for "California Pre-OBDll" anything rated for california is 50 state legal. the list price is like $250 but if you get lucky (like I did) you'll find one on ebay for $70. the pathfinder stock cat is terribly restictive (esp if it got cloged or melted) and when you look thru them both you'll see a big diffeance, hold it to the sun and you'll "see the light" lol you should idle smoother, get slightly better MPG and maybe gain 4 or 5 hp (barely enough to notice) depending how cloged your old one was maybe more. speaking of which I should inspect mine since I got my injector leak fixed make sure the unburnt fuel that came flooding out my exhaust didn't melt it any. PS you can recycle cats for money! there are precous metals used as the catalyst (platnum I think) just find the place that does it. edit; don't be surprised if your magnaflow cat comes in a carsound box and doesn't say magnaflow on it. Its the same company.
  12. Hey man thanks for lookin out. sorry I got confused. Looks like ur lookin' out 4 the lot of us in the comunity.

  13. somwhere on here there was a clearing of fact and fiction for wd21 disc conversion. I think 88 was a part of the info gathering of info. I beilve the end result was that It can be done with all the right parts for the rear braks and rear e-brake cable and that running the drum brake MC was fine becuause no diffeance was noticed after installing a disc brake specifc MC. let us know how it goes
  14. guesss Im going back 2 the JY I hope I can talk my way outa paying for the 2nd half of my hubs since I already paid for them lol
  15. ok I think I'm Missing something... My auto hubs enguage the cv splines but it looks like the manual locks grab a cog that goes on the splines.(which I guess I left on the donor vehicle) I don't know the 2 very well but do I need to go back to the JY and pull more off that HB? SHould that cog piece held on with a snap ring or will a need a special tool? here's some pix the first one is the manual the middle compares and the last is the auto. edit: click to enlarge
  16. I've thought about swapping my OE dash for one of these. from Nordskog very picy project but it would be kool. untill then individual guages would have to be the way to go.
  17. I had a washer in back, with a table in next to it and the legs on the other side of it and a drier on the roof. made one trip outa what the wharehouse guy belived would have to be 3. 2 doors rock! JUST WISH I stumble upon the rare 1990 2door with the vg30e motor....
  18. I found an HB in a JY today and took its manuals. less than $15 (I think nissan would want 400 for em new) they turn smoothly and had a thick coat of fresh grease inside them and whiping some away I found no corrosion. I don't feel a click when it reaches the free or the lock position, is that normal? don't want them turning on thier own. I don't know what year the HB was but if the splines don't match my '89 tomorrow they will be up for sale.
  19. final update on MPG results;over the last 3 tanks I seem to be averaging 1-1.5 mpg better than I was before I did the injectors. Over the last 2 tanks I have been letting the vehicle Idle to warm up in the cold for about 10 min before dirving.
  20. I have a matching spare and do a 5 wheel rotation. so the wear of 4 tires is evenly spread across 5 tires. In theroy if a tires last 60,000 miles; divide by 4 and then times 5, you now they would last 75,000 instead. least thats how I do it.
  21. I posted this a while back but AC does a 1" BL per request for $100. just e-mail them or call to order cause its not in their catalog. as far as fenders, I cant remember who did this but they put them on w/o flares on the front and left the flares on in the back. since the rear flares came out as far as the front naked feners it didn't look to bad.
  22. doh! 4got about ppl parting out here too lol.
  23. I have the OE rack and its been quite handy. the sliding crossbars allow you to sandwich smaller cago b4 you tie it down. I been thinking about modifying an xterra rack and putting that on (for the looks) if you'd like to fund that project you can buy my OE rack....
