  1. I belive all of these questions can be answered by using .
  2. Kinda intrigued to what the whole list is.....(not that I would group SUV and crossover togher but hey, it's not my call)
  3. All my previous HBs were ka powered and while yes they could spin 31s when you dumped the clutch my 3.0 in my 88 is obviously a stronger motor, if anything noticable in what gears I can get up hills with compared to what before. Not goeing to win any street races with it(well against people who know how to drive at least-as fiew and far between that seems to be) you should still be able to kick the back half loose if you want to, so as stated how many times before, check into a good tune-up, and throw a fuel filter into the mix while your at it.
  4. I got a spot for one in mt gauges, just never saw it lit..
  5. I ran my 88 clean out to the point I had to drift off the road once, didn't get a gas light.... Wonder if the bulb is good
  6. IIRC they are the same 93-95 and I see more painted ones areound here than chrome so I don't forsee a big problem hunting one down. As stated check the forums for someone parting out or went aftermarket and don't need a stock one anymore
  7. Once someone is reliable i'm sure they will have a fiew sales on here
  8. I'm liking it, definatly rbight at first being used to the old on, already adjusted though
  9. Depends on the truck, some had 235s some had 31s. I'm running 31's with tweaked t-bars and haven't had a problem other than a light rub on the right fender when turned and tucked a little on aftermarket 15x8 wheels, but my right fender has a slight kink to it in the front.
  10. Personal suggestion is since you already got the tranny out, put a new clutch in, but not everyone has money to spend on what they don't nesecarrly need. When my trans started giving me issues in my old HB it all started with 4th gear so it could be signs of internal issues. As for clutch adjustment, you have a little bit of adjustment at the pedal by pulling the pin for the clutch master cyl. and spinning the connector one way or the other on the threads. Other than that and a good bleed, there really isn't much else to adjust, it being a hydraulic setup.
  11. Got to agree with B, either the pictures lie or you were running 1 axle with no tread it seams
  12. 1. photobucket is your frined 2. Depending on the situation $700 bill from the wrecker company is justifiable (yo uknow what it costs to insure them? let alone buy, correctly register-not just slap a pickup plate on it,fuel, maintain, pay someone who actually correctly and saftly knows how to run and operate one?) 3. good you got out unscaithed

So your name is Jenny? I'd flip over someone writing on my windows.
  15. If they are useful to you at all, the link in my sig is to my members trucks thread. Help yourself to use of any of them. Mine's nothing special but it's a resort for ya if needed.
  16. That be correct, no real way to mount them in a useful spot on a 4 door
  17. www.westpaxterraclub.com Western PA Xterra Club www.pghoffroad.com Pittsburgh Offroad Club Didn't even know this was here honestly
  18. That sums it up, just make sure you get the gasket that goes between the targa bar and the truck body as well. That and watch the classifieds on here, never know what someone is gettin rid of or parting out.
  19. Parts stores I deal with at work tell us to rip them off and send them to the g-man. Should use lube either way though...
  20. Stick with your ideas, live by the built not bought phrase. It's your truck, your money, your time-build it how YOU want. Who in what area of automotive likings(4wheelers-drag racers-show cars-any sanction of the lifestyle) don't people think of motor swaps? I've got plenty of dumb motor swap ideas that most people would say why bother too.
  21. If it's stationary, I agree w/Tex, if it folds gotta go with GG. Looks like you could make a fairly interesting fishing rod holder out of it maby?
  22. I'm personally a fan of the 90 style 300z over the newer ones, took a while for the 350 to grow on me, but congrats! The 370 will grow on me after I tow a fiew due to non-drivers.
  23. Watch if you convert to seald beam style front end and do the H4 bulb swap, melted multipule plugs out of my HB with them. I guess they run a little hotter than older thin wires can handle. Still not gonna hold me back from converting again, I've collected many extra plugs and pigtails....
  24. Little piece of info that may or may not be useful, since my experience is a little different and don't know if it would even come to play with a r50. When I had to swap motors in my old HB(91 2.4l 5speed 4x4) the motor I dropped in was from an auto equipped truck. Didn't pay atention and there was a small spacer between the flywheel and crank on the auto equipped motor and when switching flywheels it stayed on the crank and actually held the flywheel out like 1/4". Starter chewed the teeth off the flywheel in a matter of a week. MAKE SURE TO REMOVE THE SPACER WHILE YOU HAVE THE FLYWHEEL OFF. That and make sure you get a pressure plate with your clutch kit.
