  1. Has to be the strangest way to revive a 5 YEAR OLD thread...and didn't even say if he got summer-winter-or all season air in his tires... As for on topic as Pezzy said L&P is long gone, didn't they try to keep goeing with only one of the partners for a little bit and sink as well?(Before my time here)
  2. I've had one actually call me once telling me " The factory warranty is about to expire on your truck, we have so and so offer". I asked them if they knew what I drove, their records showed I drove a 98 Frontier. After not so nicely assuring them they're research department is dead from the neck up I told them my truck is a 1988 they still told me if I had low enough miles they would. They were persistant, I will tell you that...
  3. The taillights you can do yourself with soem masking tape, a piece of fine sand paper and a can of plactic model spray paint. lightly scuff the lense with a fine sand paper(no need to get real involved) tape where you want on paint(any of the reverse light area, black trim around the lense etc) use LIGHT coats of the model paint(I used Testors brand gloss dark red #1204). I only did 2 coats. Matches over top of all 3 colors. Theres a pic of it done in my members trucks page and I belive a couple others have done it as well tinting them.

    Brake shims

I use bendix ceramalube(99% thats what its called, and it's purple) on the backside of all brake pads and slide points. Supposed to help with noise as beastpath said, also supposed to give you longer even wearing life of the pads. I would personally use it but it's not a crime if you don't want to.
  5. I still got ALOT of extra pieces from mine. Basicly only used the obvious -blocks-needed bolts and nuts for blocks-driveshaft hoop drop brackets(UNBOLT BEFORE YOU JACK THE BODY!!! I forgot about them personally and never read the instructions)-fuel filler and vent extensions. Bumper brackets suck, a handfull of extra nuts/bolts, and the same "extra piece" bracket uncc said. You will find you got some extra as well when done. As for the drop bracket, sorry I cannot help.
  6. To each their own (coming from someone with a simple front end swap). Chack a MiniTruckin Mag, they proably have a fiew HBs with front end swaps. Soemthing might be to your particular liking and give you a general idea where to even start if you do decide to do something...
  7. Just as long as you know I wasn't trying to start a debate or fight
  8. If you mean me B, I'm honestly not trying to stir anything, and I am just curious
  9. They do make that header wrap/tape stuff though which I understand is basicly a form of heat shield, but never heard of anybody using it
  10. No offence meant but these 2 lines in the same post kind of contradict themselves. As for being an experienced welder and making your own exhaust, I am far from a pro at welding but still made my mix of pipes that I call an exhaust. It's ugly and a sound that I like. My plans for next time I do something different with it? Pay someone else to. p.s. what exactly are you trying to report here? I'm curious...
  11. westpaxterraclub.com a local one for me, intelegent cool people though.
  12. Keep the wheels and get some white-walls, really screw with people!
  13. I actually forgot all about it, the HB gate is just under 2in longer. The real issue is in the depth. The HB gate is deeper than the door jam for the hatch.
  14. I don't see you having a major fume issue. My tailpipe, while not under the drivers door, being out the side on the drivers side, the only time I have any fume issues is at drive-thrus. Normally have to shut down just to hear them anyway.
  15. Interior design is one of the things that steered the wife and me away from them, that and we don't need a 9 passanger truck(and I can't find a way to completly disable the WHOLE TPMS systems in anything yet-light and all). She got her sites elsewear though now. That thing has a frame, bodylift!!!
  16. Have to figure that one out tomorow, they are at work underneath a bunch of other extra panels
  17. I still have 2 gates laying around for them if someones gonna try, one needs a handle, other has a frenched plate and handle flip kit in it...

    won't start

Noticing a pattern of them all being 5 speeds with issues...
  19. I'm personally gonna do 58" i think it was due to other things I have in the way(mainly exhaust on one side). Talk to Steevo, he was mocking up soem 67"s on his when I asked him about mine, plus he can get you what you need as well-where I'm goeing once I got the couple extra bucks. http://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/
  20. I live off of scavenged parts.... Anyway for $1000.00 I think I would have bought a spare truck, yank the alt. and have more spare parts!
  21. I know your talking a different car but why would you need that with a Pathfinder? For the most part at least, we are not building/driving touring cars?
  22. Joys of a tow truck for me, they have booms and winches. As for lift points, if you can't find any the seatbelt trick works well. Tie it around opposite ends of the exhaust manifolds(lf-to-rr or rf-to-lr) and yank it on up(carefully).
  23. Stuff still gets past them, heck pull your filter at oil change time, I will almost guarantee it will be at least partially restricted.
  24. Put a new fuel filter on, I do every time I go too low/empty. You tend to suck all the crap off the bottom of the tank and clog it quickly restricting how much you get to the important end of the truck. May not solve the problem completly but will help and is not exactly an expensive start(plus good preventive maintnance anyway).
