  1. In Nissan defence icemonkey, the Nissan 2.4(at least the ka) can take soem long hard miles just as well...
  2. Just swapping the bulbs won't do much I thought, aint' the actual gauges orange? Try maby finding a cluster out of a same year Hardbody with the same options and change the bulbs in that, I know they are white numbers.
  3. That was goeing to be my question, why use a torque wrench to remove? The gm z-71 wheels don't look to shabby either. Just get that nose pointed in the right direction!
  4. Fiew of my friends do that with their muscle cars(actual 60's and 70's ones) works great for them. I got plans personally of doeing some hood hacking. Mor efor a little visual but with the bonus of keepin it a little cooler between the fenders.
  5. The flares don't look bad at all, how much abuse you think they gonna be able to take though molded in especially?
  6. It was still your moms truck, shoulda stayed on top of that a little, heck my mom keeps up with her car(which as you said about the 0miles deal, was her second 08 in the begining of 07, it was hers when it was no more than a shell and a vin plate) just so she DON'T have to hear my mouth when I see her.
  7. what codes does the eng light bring up? Might give you a starting point
  8. The fuel door is high enough on HB's that the factory flares are interchangeable. I've test fit one of my sets to make sure incase I get ambitious and decide to smooth a set. HB fuel doors are actually cut at an angle on the bottom corner possibly to clear the flares on the 4x4s. They do mount a little differently though(at least comparing from my 88 to a set off a 91 HB).
  9. Speedo cable come off at the tranny or gauges? Speedo cable broke? Gear in tranny for speedo stripped? edit: didn't read it was a 95 till after posting, don't personally know if it is even a cable or electric....
  10. Yea, guilty on the threadjack as well, and on that note-I'd take that chrome rear bumper off your hands if it wouldn't kill me to ship....
  11. Good score there, the tires are worth more than that, basicly what I did for a grey interior(just did it backwards) and ended up with a running, self propelled storage shed that can keep on giving.
  12. No offence man but you sound like the person I would NOT want to but a car from. Slapping a set of pads and a quick shot with a shop vac doesn't make a $500 beater worth $800.
  13. Heck sorry to see you go over that. Mine had a shopping list of issues but that's just me. Good luck on your next automotive adventure. Maby next one will keep you hanging around for longer than a month.
  14. It's only fun for so long, it's just become a job anymore. Of course thats what I grew up with and around. It's not monotinous for sure depending on the contracts you have(reposessions are not as exciting as tv makes them, most are volentary). As for breaking into almost anything, you only need 1 tool if you know how to use it, the Big Easy, gets into everything I've needed it to-plus it's pink,so it's cool looking.
  15. Theres alot of people you HAVE to use the incorrect terms for them to figure it out.
  16. Don't see any problem if you got normal acorn style lugs, just torque 'em down right(not the german spec either-guttentite). I've run the stock lugs on many different wheels on my Nissans of the past and present without a problem, I think 4runners use normal acorn lugs as well anyway.
  17. Think maby you oblonged the hole for the upper ball joint in the spindle from running it with the nut falling off? I would think that would give you some shakes, bangs, and soem allignment issues. Usually not a fan myself of my front end hanging on by hopes and dreams...
  18. If goeing that route, run an inline fuse.
  19. It's good to hear your allright, as for the truck, it still runs right? Re-body it or hack and cage that thing! Don't send it to a flatter fate! And next time, let them hit you if they cut you off(as long as you think you will fair out better with what is coming at you-a Neon cut me off? I ain't moving!), almost always their fault!!
  20. In PA it's illegal to have the tires hanging out past the fenders so you have to have flares to be truely legal. Due to Pathfinders being registered and titled as station wagons though mudflaps are optional(and plates are $36.00 compaired to $81.00+). Alot of people still run with them hanging out and get away with it, not alot of inspection stations say anything, that or get a set of stock skinny steel wheels and some 235's for inspection time. Just mainly have to worry about the cop who knows the vechile code books by heart and loves traffic violations.
  21. I kno wmy trans and t-case knobs are the same thread, as are the ones on a friends Frontier. I see no problem as long as your not planning on a cheepie set screw knob that is goeing to come loose every 2 miles of driving.
  22. My 88 has awsome heat as long as I'm not at idle, something prolly clogged, just been keepin him tached up a little if I am stuck in 1 spot too long.
  23. My mirrors are off a 93-95 I think, could possibly be heated, they have 2 plugs on them compared to the 1 plug I have in the door. The one that is there works the power perfectly, never really cared to find out what the other plug on the mirrors was for though, so it is a possibility they are heated.
  24. I don't see motor oil doeing anything different, lucas is normally alot thicker and have a better chance of doeing something.
