What kind of lift is the first one running? Those are both pretty good deals. There’s a 99 facelift with 110k miles for 3500 over here https://boise.craigslist.org/cto/d/nampa-1999-nissan-pathfinder/6787821681.html

Woooo hooooo!!! Wait to go. Haven’t been around for long, but I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with @mjotrainbrain -
I think what is notable about @RainGoat‘s bumper is that it covers his entire front bumper cover. It’s got more surface area and is less likely to collapse on one point (think getting hit with a nail vs a a flat paddle at the same speed). Most aftermarket bull bars collapse over a section smaller than the bumper cover behind it. Raingoat’s covered his entire front bumper cover, which is probably part of why his held together so well. It was spreading damage in the same way a normal bumper cover does (low and wide), unlike many aftermarket bars. Just speculation, but worth noting

Any 4x4 forum would agree that unless it’s a full bumper replacement (in our case think ARB, coastal off-road, Hawairish, etc), any such bull bar, push bar, brush bar idea will be a damage multiplier. I dropped some good links when we were discussing it with @ThatBluePathy

Nice! I’m getting the same tires this weekend (32x11.5-R15), hopefully they both treat us well

Funny that you say that. KC gave me a coupon code for another free rock light just for submitting a review, so I think that will be in the works. Thanks!

Alright. I wish someone who has gone the 1” route would shed some light on their method. I really only want/need an inch, and I don’t want to relocate anything if I can help it
-
So did that take a little away from your ground clearance?
-
@johann_peralta, if you could get me pictures of what yours looks like, I’d be interested in it. I may have come across it in a thread you put together a while ago. Does your solution require the same amount of work as what other people have done to drop the diff an inch? I suppose a 3” lift with a 3” drop would actually be really useful. I guess I’m just a little confused about the route you went, seeing as yours had a minimum height to work. Are you relocating any other parts or something?
-
Ok, I knew that your diff drop was a little different than the smaller ones people have been coming up with. I can probably build one on my own, I just would like to know as much about these as possible and maybe get a design from someone who has done it before and can confirm it works without any unforeseen issues
-
Do you have pictures? I'd be very interested in a 1-1.5" version of that. I think the goal would be to get either OME or AC lift coils and a spacer combined with that drop.

I need help finding a wiring harness for my 01
PathyDude17 replied to PrecisionX's topic in The Garage
If its a wiring harness/adapter, good luck. I tried to find one online and at an auto parts store to no avail. -
What kind of lift where you using this on? Was it complementing an SFD? I would be using this in conjunction with a 2-3" lift, and as I've previously read, people have estimated that you can only drop the diff by somewhere around an inch before it starts bumping into other parts on the sub frame. I was looking under my car last night, and that measurement seemed about accurate.

There’s a fan control amp that can go bad on the digital climate control units, I’ve replaced that on mine before. If you have that, you could give that a shot along with your other idea -

Junkyard is your best bet -
Alright, can anyone help me hammer out the viability of this idea? I've read (I think) every thread on this forum pertaining to a diff drop on an R50. I'm aware that @fleurys has looked into this, and I'd be interested to know what he learned. I've also heard @KiwiTerrano vaguely mention a 1" drop. Most impressively, I've seen @system_f make 3/4" drop brackets. I'd be very interested in getting something like that. Least appealing, I've also come across the idea that a diff drop bushing kit from a same year Xterra will work on an R50. There are also a few other vague or dead end mentions of a successful drop fabrication. It seems like a diff drop in the .75-1.25" range would be very desirable for all of us running the various 2-3" lifts, and based on the success of such products on other IFS vehicles, I would love to at least see some pictures of what these drop designs look like, especially how they look and function when actually installed. Maybe I’m wrong, but other than the difficulty associated with accessing the differential, this seems like a simple and cost effective way to help bulletproof a "smaller" lift against CV problems. Anyhow, thanks in advance for all your help

Load Sensing Valve Modification?
PathyDude17 replied to QuasarDecimari's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I feel like if you put your search in quotations (sometimes you have to wait for the advanced search option to come up after searching a phrase the first time), you get pretty good results. Depends on the popularity of what you’re searching though. -

2002 Pathfinder...the long road to recovery (build)
PathyDude17 replied to system_f's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Ok cool. I won’t thread highjack, but as I consider a suspension overhaul this summer (spacers to springs) maybe I’ll ask some questions in an existing diff drop thread -
I have the same exact gauge, and it always sits at that level (when warm) as well, never higher.

You did nothing but drop the diff, and got 3-4”? That sounds pretty cool (less involved than an SFD with similar results if I’m understanding correctly?) -
@hawairish, you may be interested to know that now instead of my dome light glowing like yours does, when my switch is in the on position my backup light (but not either of the “puddle” lights) glows even though it’s powered by the relay. If I put the switch in the off position, the dome light glows.

Well, one diode and one capacitor later, my light setup works perfectly now. So I guess this project is complete unless I add anything to the circuit later. I’m happy to help if anyone has any questions that weren’t covered or wants to see more pictures. Thanks for all your input, I definitely learned by taking on this project

Light bar and "Raptor/4Runner" running lights
PathyDude17 replied to 02_Pathy's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
That may very well be the case. It could also make your front end look over cluttered and overdone. Either way, I like the your rig! Seems to be only a few well built white pathy’s running around
