Does this sound happen all the time you accellerate from a stop, or only after you have backed up in reverse, put it into drive, then go forward?
-
I havent heard of anyone doing it but it would cause a power drain to the battery doing that.

OK I thought outside the box some..... The power steering pressure switch on the pressure line is on the right side of the vehicle and rather sits low in the engine bay. If the switch is in the closed position there will be no power assist to the steering rack. The switch could have gotten wet/muddy and fried or is not making a connection to the harness now because of mud in the connector. You could have also damaged the harness to the switch when the vehicle was stuck in the hole. In park with the vehicle running, If your switch is working properly you will have power steering and the RPM on the tach will dip down slightly when you turn the wheel right or left. Here is the part information should you need it: PART NUMBER: 49761-0W000 DESCRIPTION: SWITCH-PRESSURE, PWR STR $69.33 (Nissan List: $92.43)

VQ w/ possible blown headgaskets, how to be sure
Alkorahil replied to Canadian's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
The upper and lower intake gaskets do not have water passing through them. You also have an oil cooler at the bottom wher ethe oil filter goes that could possibly be leaking coolant into the engine oil. -
1993 Pathfinder - What would cause this?
Alkorahil replied to MrEviLDeD's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Mein Gott in Himmel! Time for new shocks on the back for sure. I would get new bolts, nuts and washers as well, those do not look pretty -
You put a new pump on so the belt is there. It has fluid, there are no leaks in any of the hoses? I suspect it will be something with the rack since the vehicle was buried in the hole. On the top of the rack near where they steering shaft goes into the rack there are two metal lines. Check to see if they are bent.

They want you to lube the outside of the seal before you put it in so that it seats properly.

Sunroof Shade /Cover where can I get this! or Part #?
Alkorahil replied to gsumann's topic in 86.5-89 WD21 Pathfinders
LOL. Interesting. I can still get a new one if you want, but as stated a salvage yard in good condition would be a less expensive option. -
anyone know a way to fix seatbelts so they retract?
Alkorahil replied to ahardb0dy's topic in The Garage
Check the Warranty Book with your Canadian Owners manual for the warranty information to see what it says. The US owners manual have a seperate section for the seatbelt warranty. -
I guess I am late to the party. What the others said! X2

front nhub assembly 1998 pathy.. need to replace.
Alkorahil replied to captandy's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
The Front hubs on the R50 Pathfinder 4WD are the same right or left. However...... Part number 40202-0W091 is for a 1998 model Pathfinder, A 2004 Pathfinder uses 40202-0W094 -
I got the most joy out of my pop charger from hearing it suck in the air. PPL could tell it had one on it. I also remember the installation instructions for the mounting brackets that came in the box were for a RH drive Terrano, which had be scratchig my head and having to think opposite. As for power big gains, it felt slightly more peppyier on the throttle at idle or from a dead stop; marginally so. I didnt notice and MPG gains or losses. I would not use this though if you go out in deep mud, water crossing, etc. There is no shield for the filter element.

Alkorahil replied to 93_ditchfindah's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders

It is located under the dash, to the left of the steering column and to the forward and to the right of the fuse block
-
IIRC they are Torx.

Upper Control Arm bolt stripper out
Alkorahil replied to 93_ditchfindah's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Is this one of the bolts that holds the ball joint to the UCA, the camber bolts to the spindle, or the spindle itself for the UCA? -
Yes, that is correct. The map is the 'If-Then' statements for the ECU. It tells 'maps' out the inputs and resulting outputs based on the engine state such as air/fuel mixture and the adjustments for that, air intake volume, desity and temperature, RPMS, transmission speed and revolutions, and so on.

Jim Wolf stuff is good quality, but pricy. They were the supplier for the POP charger Nissan offered back in the day. Had it on my truck, worked ok.

1993 Pathfinder - Any experience with stock fuel lines?
Alkorahil replied to MrEviLDeD's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Nice job Adamzan, I like that! -
You are not the first to notice this. The US vehicles did not have the option available for some bizzare reason.
