X3 on the drain is clogged.

Kinda sounds like a low fluid level. Have you checked the AT fluid level after it has warmed up?

These are the classic early R50 3.3L evap cannister issues. The charcoal in the evap cannisters after about 10 years decayed and destroyed the cannister valves. I would recommend replacing both the cannister and the valve with the newer versions Nissan now provides. A vehicle in the salvage yard will most likely already have the same problem or create the same problem.

that is indeed a relay P/N. The full number or last 5 of that number should be printed on the side of the relay itself if you pull it out. There are only a few different types of relays Nissan used back then. They are used all over the vehicles for different purposes based on power required. This particular one was used on Maxima, Pathfinder, Hardbody, Sentra during the 90's for different purposes. I do show this is the key reminder relay for a WD21 and is still available from Nissan. P/N 25230-79910 DESCRIPTION: RELAY 12V $17.79 (NISSAN LIST: $23.72)

Sounds like a small leak. You can take it to a shop and have them but a dye in the system that will show where the leak(s) are at.

I know that area of Dallas and do my best to avoid it whenever possible. It is beyond awful and scary. Hell of a place for that to happen but good that you were able to do a quick repair on it!

This does sound like a bad/incorrect thermostat issue to me. It has the classic symptoms. It is not unheard of to put a new thermostat in and it be bad. I have seen this many many times on all sorts of brands.

Saturday, since it was 106 outside witht he heat and Ihave a black truck and this is Texas and summer finally showed up.... My AC was feeling cool, but not cold, but it is hard to tell with a black truck in summer! I decided that since I havent checked my AC freon in 3 years I shoudl start there. It should be at 1.76 pounds and was showing 1.45....ahhh that would make a difference..... However I was concerned that High side was showing a nominal reading but Low side was super high/way off before I did a vacuum draw...like there was some obstruction. I refilled and checked the readings and they showed fine, did again Sunday and they showed fine, so maybe it was just me being a bad boy and not keeping up on my AC maintence. On the plus side I have cold air not cool now!

FYI The auto hubs for a WD22 Xterra are discontinued by Nissan. You are correct that the R50 uses studs and the WD22 uses bolts. I cannot say if the hubs for a WD22 Xterra are compatable with a R50.

IMHO A reflective sunshade does wonders for the temp inside when you first get in and your AC system doesnt have to work as hard. It also helps the dashboard last longer.

IMHO Castrol is superb for older small 4cyl engines like 1.6 -1.8 size motors.

That tube was used on the WD21 with V6 engine from production dates 08/89-06/94 both Fed and Cali emissions. After 06/94 the part numbers changed and split to seperate Fed and Cali versions It was also used on the D21 with V6 from production dates 08/89-06/94 both Fed and Cali emissions and the D21U from 06/94-12/94 Federal emission.

take a look at your center support bearing (AKA Carrier Bearing) on your propeller shaft. It fits your noise description. and you did go trailing you may have knocked it around.

That exact controller P/N 27510-83G00 was used only on the WD21 from production dates 07/90-10/95

I would look to see if the miss is from the old distributor cap/rotor. That would make a lot of sense.

The Chilkoot was an XE grade R50 with extra special package items: compass numbered special edition plague alloy step rails/nerf bars special package floor mats special instrument cluster special package body graphics I also show some Chilkoot versions came with block heaters. (I guess Canadians need things like this) From the factory the XE and LE grade R50 had 7.5 inches of ground clearance and P235/70/15 tires while the SE and Chilkoot had 8.3 inches clearance with P265/70/15 tires. So says the vehicle specs. I do not know for a 100% fact on the Chilkoot, but usually when these special packages have been done in the past by nissan they were done to boost sales. They were sublet out to third party companies by Nissan for the upgrade work. Thus why the special parts are not available from Nissan and do not show up in the Nissan parts cataloge. As a side note, that is how you can tell on nissans from this era. Vehicles built SE or LE have sunroofs. XE and E grade do not. For example, the 'Sport Package' XE Pathfiinder has everything a SE WD21 has, less the sunroof and adjustable shocks.

Why are you selling the truck??

Yes you will need to install an external transmission cooler. Please do not simply bypass the transmission cooler without putting an external cooler on the truck. Both Hayden and B&M make excellent quality transmission coolers that many on here have used.

This sounds like the classis symptoms of a bad distributor.
