Here is my center console fridge I installed, also has a warm function. I had to remove the whole center console and cut the back section off. Under neath the fridge I have a metal bracket which I measured and bent the end section over and screwed it into the existing left over plastic from the old console. I used two small angle brackets to secure it to the console where the original lid would have clipped in. Wiring is hidden under the console and works off the cig lighter.

You are right about the transmission just remember to check the color stays a nice red and have it changed at least once a year. I change mine every 2nd oil change. I know it sounds a bit much but that's just me making sure it stays in top shape.

Differences in the Australian Terrano compared to the US Pathfinders is our speedo display is in km/h with no mph markings, the fuse box has all Japanese writing, same thing with the info pad under the windscreen visor, minor differences in center console too. Mine came with an after market coin holder next to the T shifter, not sure if it's a stock thing with all Terranos. The front indicator lamps on the corners are just parker lamps on the Australian ones but we have side indicators on the side fenders and two on the lower front inset into the front bumper. Rear lights are the same on both Terrano and Pathfinder.

Try brushing the pins with a small wire brush or a strip of sandpaper might help to clean it up.

I would say it's got to be the battery. Most batteries last only 3 or 4 years and the symptoms you describe happened exactly the same with mine. Bought a new battery and no more problems.

You won't find the drain tube underneath, it's a rubber u shaped hose coming out from the firewall. It's a left hand drive? If so, the tube should be on the left hand side of the firewall, as you are standing in front of the engine bay looking at it. Mine is a right hand drive, so mine is on the right side. Just get a coat hanger wire and poke it up the hose gently. That should clear some of the gunk out. I also get the garden hose on there and flush it out.

Phew at least it's fixed now! So glad we don't have these emission tests here in Oz

Oh and if you use aluminum foil dipped in water, rub the foil on your chrome bars and be amazed at how well it cleans up!

I always rinse first to remove as much road grime as possible, then 2nd spray on car wash solution with slight rubbing with a car sponge. The sponge must be clean with no sand in it so you don't get scratches. An old tootbrush and spray with degreaser works wonders on the mag wheels. Chamois the paintwork dry but leave the windows wet. An old beach towel is perfect for drying the glass. For polishing I have been using this awesome BMW 3M polish. It has an orange peel scent to it and it lightly blends in minor scratches and leaves a wet look shine. Water beads on the surface like tiny balls of water, but after a drive they blow straight off without leaving water spots, it's amazing stuff. If you apply polish with a slightly damp cloth, it goes on smoother. Buff with a clean old tshirt or terry towelling shirt. Remove the buttons to avoid scratches! On my dash I just fill an old ice cream container with warm water, soak the chamois in it then wring out. Wipe the dash and all I'm doing is wiping the dust off. For the clear plastic on the speedo, you want to just dab the plastic screen, don't wipe it. By dabbing, you are absorbing the dust off, without wiping and possibly scratching it up.

One time (at bandcamp lol) I was on the freeway and my alternator belt snapped, which means brake pressure is lost, I had to stand on the brakes to avoid smashing into a line of traffic. Not fun at all. So yeah, check your belts now and then for wear, or at least when you do the engine oil check them.

Gave mine a good wash off, wow there's blue paint under the grime! Then that wash off turned into a total polish and buff over the whole thing, then that turned into wiping and cleaning everything inside, then that turned into vacuuming everything inside lol. Looks like a brand new one now.

I would if I could. Can I do it via Tapatalk? Basically in order to make the gps fit I had to cut the front plastic part off at the base and cut a square hole out in the top because that's where the on/off button is located for the gps and also for removal of the gps. In future I want to see if I can fit a couple of gauges in there, primarily coolant temp and trans temp gauges.

I removed my altimeter, I just never found it necessary. I put a square slot in the top of the cover pod and a smaller hole in the side for the 12v cable and now my gps is sitting in there. Best part is I made it so I can remove the gps, so no potential thieves get any ideas. To get it out you just lift it, unplug the cord from the base and good to go.

I remember back in the day, mid 80's my dad had a Statesman Deville. For you guys in the states, it's like a Cadillac, V8 350 chev motor in it. Interior like a lounge room and a boot that you could fit four golf bags inside with room to spare. Anyway my mum was hosting a fashion parade and the car was just outside the back door of the complex. Dad went out to the car to grab something and it's disappeared. Immediately called the police and waited. Just after midnight, dad got a call from the police that they had received a call from a parking security officer. The security officer closes this particular parking area at midnight so he saw the Deville parked there with no other vehicles remaining. So the police told us where the car was and we went and collected it. Seems the thieves had just taken the car to use as transport to get to the city, only 45 mins away. Luckily the only damage was they broke the steering lock and had hot wired it but everything else was ok. Panels not damaged or anything so my dad was extremely lucky. They could have taken every part off that thing and even transferred the engine into another ride. Just thought it might even be a good idea to check around car parks, talk to security personnel to see if anything has been reported as 'odd'

What are you talking about of course they rely on gravity. You go uphill, the little 4wd on the display points up. If you turn a corner, the 4wd display shows it leaning the way you are turning. The 12v leads that go into it are for illumination for night.

Well that's great, hopefully that's the end of the problem and now you know how to fix it if it does it again.
