  1. Yeah, we have it tough here in California, don't we B? Been floating around 70 for the last week or so. Feels good but the local ski area closed due to lack of new snow....
  2. I bought one of those.... Kinda cheep but works just fine. Before re-registration time I am gonna have to swap it out for one that is CARB legal....
  3. More wonderful weather in the North State. 72 this week, only mid 60's today but no rain in site. Bad for the drought but great to get my latest remodel done. Not sure if I could handle living on the Canadian border again. Our northern neighbors have it brutal !!!!
  4. Easy schmeezy. Remove interior door panel, two screws and a plastic pin holding actuating rod. 10-15 mins tops. 5 bucks at JY or around 20 new....
  5. Actually fell below freezing here a few times overnight the last week. pretty rare. Been floating in the mid 50s for daytime highs but looking forward to some mid 60s and even pushing 70 this week. C'mon spring!
  6. Awesome. Family can really be a bail out at times! Struts? I think not. You may mean the torsion bars? Or shocks? Shocks are cheap so no biggie. I have a pair of stock torsion bars (they are just fine)from when I bought the Sway-A-Ways. If you want them I could package them up and you just pay for the shipping.
  7. Changed oil and filter this morning. First time since I installed the Thorley headers. Seemed like the filter was easier to get to and thread back on because you can actually see where the filter goes. Also was pretty easy wrapping the starter with foil to keep it from getting saturated. Was 8K miles since last change (oops!) but oil was still fairly clear and amber. I am amazed at how clean this motor runs. 40 bucks for a 5 qt. bottle of Mobil 1? Yikes! The left over from the 2 last bottles will change the bike though....
  8. Ugly duckling? I think not! The style is quickly becoming classic, much like the old Broncos.......
  9. I respect your opinion but many others do not agree with you. Yes it balloons your footprint a bit but some consider that an advantage. Like I stated, I have not had a single issue.....
  10. Just suspension lift. Sway-A-Way torsion bars, AC UCA's, and heavy duty springs from 4x4 parts. lots of rubbing during cornering before spacers. After it rubbed a lot on the flares so I trimmed them back and eventually just removed them. During cornering and flex it would still rub especially at the front of the wheel well so trimmed it back with a cutting wheel. No more rubbing now and I didn't really take off much material. This is about the best shot I can find for how it was trimmed.
  11. I will be the one to jump in and say my 33x12.50s fit fine on my legos. No issues. Actually a serious off roader I know says it works better with low tire pressures. I didn't argue, I like the stocky, vintage look of the legos...
  12. Washed it too, torrential downpour all day. Love the LSD though, cant spin the tires no matter what!
  13. I actually think there is a pinned post somewhere with a list of compatible shocks and part #'s. If you are adamant about Bilsteins I would call them for info if all else fails...
  14. KneeDeepSnowMotherfskcer.....Bring it on!
  15. I believe a much earlier definition of the word "pathfinder" was not a vehicle but an air support troop starting in WWII. Usually limited to ground operations, they provided intelligence data for landing and support operations for aircraft..... KNOWN TO BE TOTALLY RELIABLE!
  16. Don't some turn the A/C pump into an onboard compressor? If I didn't need A/C desperately in this neck of the woods that is what I would do...
  17. Sorry for the bad info... I ASSUMED that they all would at least have the mounting reinforcement.... Time to go picking!!
  18. On the WD21s they hinge on the RR corner. If yours didn't come with one there is a thread on how to install a stock carrier. I believe they all have the mounting locations peened on the inside of the panel (from the inside). The hinge nor the latch actually contact the bumper at all. Here is a pic of mine after I installed a tube bumper and it didn't affect the tire carrier at all.
  19. Sorry for the typo.... Rob will help you for sure!
  20. Hit me right in the ol' 33x12.50s. Very minor body damage, skinned up a Lego wheel ( I had more) and bent the axle. Her Suzuki Vitara did not fare so well. I think it was about 90 bucks, well worth the money since I would have never been able to do it in the garage.
  21. Resurface if there is nothing wrong with it. Contact Akorahil (member here), he is our go to Nissan parts guy and he can tell you about availability and pricing.
  22. Just went through this when that lady T-boned me. The bearing has to be pulled and pressed on with great force. Take the axle and everything to a machine shop and have them disassemble and press everything together, believe me!
