  1. Welp. Rain stopped. Got back to it. Finally out. Front bearing the separator for the bearings failed. And the rear was failing. Grease was black. Getting replacement tommorow then get it back in. Sent from fat fingers on S6
  2. Sup guys. On top of doing my wheel bearings. My alternator under tension of the belt is squealing. Turns fine by hand. Put the belt on and tension it up, start thr truck for 30 secs. Loud squelch. Turn truck off and the alternator pulley is very hot to touch. Vs touching the actual engine block. I'm trying to get it out. I have the front bracket and bolts removed. Got the plug out and charging cable. But there's another bracket with a wiring harness and a ground? Back there. Don't seem to have enough room to drop it south much more to get to those. Any tricks to this? Kinda stuck and have work this week. Btw, it's the original alternator or a OEM at least. Charges good so just going to replace the bearings in it. No need for a new one. Thanks! 3. Been so busy with work. I ordered up mine about a week ago. So busy with work. I am in no rush for it. Everyone else get in it?
  4. I did the same ordering rotors. You want to know what the difference is? The caliper mounting bracket. Which are like $20 each at the parts stores. But usually have to order them in. Can just use them with bigger rotors. Done.
  5. So you have to email out the code and they cross check the order ne with the list? Sent from fat fingers on S6
  6. Late to the party. Able to get in thr group buy? $259 is a steal for the lokka. Sent from fat fingers on S6
  7. What happened? They side Swipe you? Sent from fat fingers on S6
  8. Look up ThExbrit. He has a dual battery setup. Also on Expeditionportal.com there are a ton of dual setups. Sent from fat fingers on S6
  9. Unless you have a subframe drop. 31" is a good size. No worries about clearance cutting. And allows tuck on flex easily. Plus the stock size is mostly 29.5" unless you have the funky early LE wheels. If you look at both my Pathfinder they both have 31" and run perfect down here. (The 99 with thr black wheels are actually 29" AT. But the muds are 31") Sent from fat fingers on S6
  10. If your in South Florida and would like a day wheeling trip. Lazy Springs is a decent lil place to have some fun at. It located south east of Ft. Myers, and north west of Immokalee. On Florida 82. I does cost $10 per vehicle and $10 per person. Kinda redundant and can be $40 for a family of 3 to enter. Sucks, but they are improving it. They have fresh lakes for some fishing and swimming. With swings and slides and make shift beaches. As for off roading. They have a nice long hills section and several other area's to play in. Actually a good area to first time wheel or field test your stuff. If people see this and are interested. Post up, I can post some pics to show it. Also can help organize a event out there for us. 11. Surprised you went with them for a long block. A rebuild from Napa or other parts store would have been my choice. As dealing with any warranty or discrepancy might have been easier. Plus shipping to said store is usually covered. Sent from fat fingers on S6
  12. Can try Rockauto to get the part number then Google it. Or can call Rob out in Texas. Cheaper route: peice of heater hose over the end of the spring tails. Sent from fat fingers on S6
  13. Need to update my build thread a lot. But this is where I mounted my fire extinguisher. Need a proper Extinguisher inside decal. Temp one Sent from fat fingers on S6
  14. Check fluid. May be low. Also may need to be changed. Look up here how to change it to tranny fluid. Sent from fat fingers on S6
  15. If your pushing actual liquid gasoline out of the exhaust. Regardless of cats or no cats. You are running way to rich. Hence your stumble issue. I'd sort that out. Timing, plugs, wires, cap/rotor and or distributor toast (the bushing in it).
  16. OT here on the spring compresser story. Back in 2002 I was putting in Eibach springs in my 92 Z28. I had just pulled out on of the stock coils compressed. Went to set it down when it let go. In the process it went to the left of me bounced off the wall of the house. Ended up across the street by the neighbors front door. A good 200ft away. It had hit and smash my thumb pretty good. Scared the bejesus out of me. I only use wall mounted for struts now. And if its on the car and center style compressor. I add a rachet strap as some kind of extra measures. 17. DJDESI: Australian supplier's may be cheaper for you. Which then opens up more possibilities. IronMan, Tough Dog, King springs etc.
  18. That's fine. Sent from fat fingers on S6
  19. Changed the cabin filters on both. About all. Sent from fat fingers on S6
  20. The OME springs are drop shipped from ARB. When they say on order, call them back and clarify. OME springs for the Pathfinder usually only come into the states about twice a year. Spring time and Fall. See if you can clarify if they are in fact in the states or either shipping to the port or already shipping from ARB to you. If they are still in route to port, once in port can take anywhere from a 2-8 weeks to clear customs. I only know all this, because I spent many hours on the phone trying to get mine. I ended up waiting two extra weeks for the rears. Which at that point, as soon as they cleared, ARB overnighted them to me. This is all only because the Pathfinder just isnt as popular as Jeeps and Toyota's. So supply is only really brought in as they are ordered. With about 3-4 inventory sets to be delivered if a distributor sells a set.
  21. Thats way to much play for the cv shafts. In the FSM it tells you how to shim them for proper end play.
  22. Very well could be gunk in the alternator. Or the bearing for the tensioners for the belts. Sent from fat fingers on S6
  23. Cam and tune. Just research Maxima and 350Z forums. But with those mods can come trouble. So stay stock. Honestly these engines are pretty bullet proof if taken care of. Many members have well over 150k on em no issues. My 3.3l Pathfinder has 212k miles. Only thing some guys have is a little oil consumption. But just keep it topped and go on. Here is a tip. Under your truck passenger side. About right under between the two doors there is a wiring harness. Inspect it. If its wet and reddish. Then it's the seal for a turbine sensor on the top of the transmission. With engine out. Replace that sensor and seal. It fails and thr fluid wicks it way through the harness to that spot. Very common especially in the Xterra side. Sent from fat fingers on S6
  24. Batter cables good? If they corrode internally under the insulation those will cause a bunch of nightmares. Sent from fat fingers on S6
  25. Why a rebuild? What is warranting the project? Make sure to replace all vacuum lines and water hoses. There is a bypass hose in the back that's a PITA to get to. But if the engine is out replace it. Do your power valve screws. If the budget allows. There are custom Cams and tuners out there for the 3.5 just are pricey. Sent from fat fingers on S6
