Surprised you went with them for a long block. A rebuild from Napa or other parts store would have been my choice. As dealing with any warranty or discrepancy might have been easier. Plus shipping to said store is usually covered. Sent from fat fingers on S6

Can try Rockauto to get the part number then Google it. Or can call Rob out in Texas. Cheaper route: peice of heater hose over the end of the spring tails. Sent from fat fingers on S6

Check fluid. May be low. Also may need to be changed. Look up here how to change it to tranny fluid. Sent from fat fingers on S6

If your pushing actual liquid gasoline out of the exhaust. Regardless of cats or no cats. You are running way to rich. Hence your stumble issue. I'd sort that out. Timing, plugs, wires, cap/rotor and or distributor toast (the bushing in it).

OT here on the spring compresser story. Back in 2002 I was putting in Eibach springs in my 92 Z28. I had just pulled out on of the stock coils compressed. Went to set it down when it let go. In the process it went to the left of me bounced off the wall of the house. Ended up across the street by the neighbors front door. A good 200ft away. It had hit and smash my thumb pretty good. Scared the bejesus out of me. I only use wall mounted for struts now. And if its on the car and center style compressor. I add a rachet strap as some kind of extra measures. DJDESI: Australian supplier's may be cheaper for you. Which then opens up more possibilities. IronMan, Tough Dog, King springs etc.

The OME springs are drop shipped from ARB. When they say on order, call them back and clarify. OME springs for the Pathfinder usually only come into the states about twice a year. Spring time and Fall. See if you can clarify if they are in fact in the states or either shipping to the port or already shipping from ARB to you. If they are still in route to port, once in port can take anywhere from a 2-8 weeks to clear customs. I only know all this, because I spent many hours on the phone trying to get mine. I ended up waiting two extra weeks for the rears. Which at that point, as soon as they cleared, ARB overnighted them to me. This is all only because the Pathfinder just isnt as popular as Jeeps and Toyota's. So supply is only really brought in as they are ordered. With about 3-4 inventory sets to be delivered if a distributor sells a set.

Thats way to much play for the cv shafts. In the FSM it tells you how to shim them for proper end play.

Full R50 engine rebuild advice!?
Rebelord replied to aussie4wheeler's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Cam and tune. Just research Maxima and 350Z forums. But with those mods can come trouble. So stay stock. Honestly these engines are pretty bullet proof if taken care of. Many members have well over 150k on em no issues. My 3.3l Pathfinder has 212k miles. Only thing some guys have is a little oil consumption. But just keep it topped and go on. Here is a tip. Under your truck passenger side. About right under between the two doors there is a wiring harness. Inspect it. If its wet and reddish. Then it's the seal for a turbine sensor on the top of the transmission. With engine out. Replace that sensor and seal. It fails and thr fluid wicks it way through the harness to that spot. Very common especially in the Xterra side. Sent from fat fingers on S6 -
Full R50 engine rebuild advice!?
Rebelord replied to aussie4wheeler's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Why a rebuild? What is warranting the project? Make sure to replace all vacuum lines and water hoses. There is a bypass hose in the back that's a PITA to get to. But if the engine is out replace it. Do your power valve screws. If the budget allows. There are custom Cams and tuners out there for the 3.5 just are pricey. Sent from fat fingers on S6 -
The reason for the higher HP figure is that the MT 3.5 don't have power valves. It's just open. Also if you look you'll notice the TQ figure is lower on the MT ones. Does it matter? No they are probably 99.9% the same. Honestly these 3.5 are probably the same 265HP that came in the early 350Z cars. Minus some tuning. Either way it's a good engine. As far as transferring interior parts. Go for it. Sent from fat fingers on S6

When to say goodbye-- 1999.5 SE 3.3L 4WD w 158K miles
Rebelord replied to EvF's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
You mention distributor cap and wires and rotor. But what about the actual distributor? They bushing in it likes to go bad which ends up shorting out the actual coil in the distributor. I would make the original dealer that has been doing all this "diagnosing" pay for any repairs and labor costs. Since they havent been able to do anything since December '14. -
1 hour labor is $300 there? I need to move!! If you have access to a lift, not so bad. Or if you can get it pretty up in the air on some heavy duty jack stands properly supported

It can be messy cleaning up the old CV axle. Getting the grease off and such. Unless you have a parts washer. Then it make life a lot easier. If you get the rockford ones, when you put the new grease in, just cut a corner to squeeze it out. Also, on my rockfords. The clamps I had little success with. Ended up using hose clamps. BTW, you may need a press to get the outer end axial part off. Depending on current grease condition and contamination.
-
Um, shouldnt be an issue. You have something else going one. If you have a proper pressure gauge set. Check your pressure for low side and high side. Report that then we can go from there.

Had it quick washed and simple interior wipe down. I still went over the interior with Vinylex. Tomorrow will finish up with the Ultimate Waterless Wash and Wax to help protect the paint. Unfortunately when I park to take the work truck. I have to park under a tree. Which has lovely birds in it. So, sometimes I have a bunch of bird poop I have to wash off, or now as mating season has been over. I am getting eggs that fell out of the nests on it. Ugh.

Is overheating in 100 degree weather normal?
Rebelord replied to Bobsteriffic's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Thermostat going, water pump or radiator could be clogged. That and possible air in system. Get the FSM and follow Precise instructions. He knows the 3.0 better than me. -
To clarify if its just cold but dry starts fine? Sent from fat fingers on S6
