Sensor 2 is for detecting cat failures so id say you're right, but I've never had to deal with it before, so i cant say for sure. As far as changing them, be glad you don't have a 96! They put my cat's up by the firewall, before moving them down on the later models. Ultimately it comes down that awful thing every car guy hates... RUST!! i'd recommended hitting all your nuts with some WD-40 or PB blaster a couple of times, maybe even a day or two before changing them out. I'm unsure if they are studs or not, but if it becomes an issue, say you were to break something while trying to loosen them up, you can drill out the stud, and just run some decent hardware from Home Depot or any hardware store. Maybe someone can chime in on this, but I've heard of people putting seafoam through the oil is a good idea, helps clean out the gunk. I'm not 100% sure. Can anyone shine some light on this? -Kyle

Thank you! I have a stereo too, but sometimes I want to just drive peacefully and quietly. So a droning exhaust won't be something id I want. A friend of mine had a sweet exhaust on his Xterra and did something similar to what you did, and I wanted to get his, surprisingly his wasn't really loud, but I never got to hear it at Highway speed. So I wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger. -Kyle

Both manifolds between 4, 6, 3 and 5. All the common places. I recently got 15.6 with 60-70 mph Highway milage. I know the tires are not helping. But I saw no change in milage when I installed the tires. I want to swap my wheels out to some OEM aluminum wheels. And see if I can loose some rotating weight. Titan wheels would be awesome, but duratracs don't come in a 31x 18, which sucks! I want to get an exhaust, but I don't really want to have to drone and make it so loud I can't hear myself think! But no one will post a video! Lol -Kyle

Wow! Lots of good info! Nice work man! I'd like to ad to it if possible. It's the highest end option, but an option no less. ARP makes extended chromly steel studs. They come in pack of five. I don't remember how much per pack, but it was like $220 for how many I'd need for my pathfinder. And, a hammer with an old lug nut on top is how I extracted my old studs. World great. No more than three hits per stud. Anyway, awesome info and thanks for sharing. -Kyle

Dude, just get the support, the hours spent trying to make one that will fit the bumper, and make it fit the car, will be indefinite. Lots of guys have put lights though the bumper to the factory bumper support, or to the grill, which look fine too. Just my take on it, but you are going to have a lot of time spent making it fit. -Kyle

You can make it a little more efficient. Look into an exhaust. Karmann has a nice sounding mangnaflow? (I can't remember the brand) and I know the VG motors response very well to a cat back exhaust. Well have to ask him if he saw any MPG improvements from his exhaust. You can replace the O2's if they are original (just fronts, rears don't affect milage) it might help. And yeah, having drive train fluids served can marginally help too. Checking universal joints along the drive shaft can also be a worth while venture, if they are worn due to corrosion, for example, that can cause excessive strain on the engine. But by far the best mpg mod for the pathfinder is manual front hubs. You lose the option of 4WD on the move. But I've had mine for a few years with no issues. I had about a 2 mpg increase before the exhaust issues. So if I were you, I'd look into manual hubs, they definitely help. -Kyle

I found mine on eBay, for like $38 bucks. They don't make the color I have anymore (Grey) I think what you'd be buying is black. I think, I'm not %100 sure. But they aren't crazy expensive for a set, I think the $80 range if I remember correctly. And yes. Front and rear mats with the front saying pathfinder along the sides. Very nice. I can take some pics if you like. -Kyle EDIT: to clarify, the rear is just the rear seats, they make a different all season Mat (which I have) for the rear Cargo area.
