  1. If the front wheel is stuffed all the way up into the wheelwell, you broke a torsion bar. It happens sometimes.
  2. I've been driving my Pathy for years with no sway bars. Lots of other people here have too. No control arm problems yet. HMMMMMMM.
  3. Here's an oldie but a goodie, I've been going thru old hard drives...
  4. The FS5R30A did NOT come in 4-cyl trucks. The 4-cyl transmission is different.
  5. Harbor Freight for the torque wrench. It may be cheap but it's reasonably accurate. I'd go with Nissan for t-belt, belts and small items.
  6. Or you could swap to a Chevy MC, it just takes a little bolt-hole manipulation and some brake line-end swapping.
  7. The 4x4 5-speed MT was available in all V6 Pathfinders from 87-95 and all 87-95 V6 HB trucks. It has to be from the V6 tho, the 4-cyl 5-speed is all different, don't get one of those.
  8. GG, I hate to break it to ya but the 3-speed auto had TC lockup OD, so do all the RE4R01A 4-speeds. They all had OD with TC lockup. I just paged through my 88 FSM for the info. I could be missing one specific tranny from 86.5-87, but it'd be rare if so.
  9. Ohhhh yeah, they did, didn't they? They were rare!
  10. Put a 5-speed in. Nothing else will bolt to the V6 but the RE4R01A 4-speed automatic, the FS5R30A 5-speed manual and the old L4N71B 3-speed automatic they had in the 86.5-87's. The FS5R30A 5-speed will take a lot of abuse, the turbo 300ZX guys use the same transmission.
  11. Ummmmmmm...there's KMA (I think) and I believe AC has one. That's all I can think of. Lug pattern is 6x5.5 IIRC.
  12. You have the wrong terminology. "Air sensors" doesn't really help. O2 sensor, mass airflow sensor, and exhaust gas temp sensors are all what might loosely be termed as "air sensors". They are also all located in completely different places on the vehicle. I will assume you're talking about the O2 sensor for your sake and because you're talking about the exhaust system. Denso and Bosch are the most commonly-used O2 sensors IIRC, just buy a new one. It will come with new wiring; you'll just have to screw it in and plug it in. That's it.
  13. Yup, they've been around for a while. They had a bad start-up with delays and credit card charges and whatnot but maybe they've got it all ironed out by now.
  14. That's weird, cause the tach runs off the ECU and the distributor. No tach wiring anywhere near the t-case or shifter. Check the ECU plugs to make sure they're not loose? Check the ground and wiring on the distributor, as well.
  15. Try out the 31's first, you'll like them. 33's will rob your power and top end speed on the road.
  16. Did ya do a knock sensor workaround? BIG complaints come from NOR about knock sensor problems with the SC engine. Most people relocate the knock sensor so it actually works.
  17. Iridium plugs are expensive. $20 each is about right.
  18. So...does the rotor spin or not? It's a real easy test.
  19. Take off the distributor cap and crank it. If the t-belt broke the rotor won't spin. If it did break, you might have gotten lucky and not hurt anything (low speed, low RPM). If not, you may have bent valves and dinged pistons or even a broken camshaft.
  20. I've pushed mine to 100 before, but with 31's on.
  21. Do you have any dash lights on? When the alt goes it'll turn on the BRAKE, VOLT and A/T TEMP lights (if you have an A/T). If you're unsure, take 'er to an auto parts store and have them test it! Most stores do it for free and you don't have to remove it.
