  1. If anything id get it for the leatehr seats and the wheels and tires
  2. Mine usually indicates about 3-4. I Will fill up when it first comes on and tank will only take 17-18 gallons
  3. Don't be a wuss, put it on! gotta have something to carry all the goodies back from the mall once the truck is filled with groceries!
  4. In all seriousness, my novice and amatuer understanding of the suspension system says that you may have done something to a trailing arm bushing, panhard or sway bar. If money and time allows, why not replace all the bushings back there?
  5. ^ that. At 100k my assumption is some of hte things that go wrong still have some time. At about 148k, my rear main seal was leaking pretty bad, my passenger side valve cover gasket has a slight weep going on and one of my c/v boots is torn a little bit (running manual hubs so I just leave it unlocked). Had the trailing arm bushings replaced about a year ago- the way to tell if they are bad is you will notice a wobbling or as I liked to describe it a "floating" whenever you are going pretty quick- post 45mph and you hit a bump. Also see how the clutch feels? I'm at 152k now and so far so good.
  6. Ive the same thing....shall lurk for results
  7. best way to check- drive down road, move steering wheel back and forth a lil bit. If you feel the back end floating around, tis ze death wobble
  8. OP Welcome to the party Are you experiencing the death wobble? Maybe look into getting the trailing arm bushings replaced. TIming belt replaced recently? Those seem to be the hot topics concerning the r50 :my2cents: (cents added for inflation)
  9. Manual hubs on your 96 will make a difference. After installing mine I sit at about 16.5 with mostly suburban driving and 19.7ish at 70-80 highways. A Jeep? Unless it is one of the new little car jeeps (compass, etc) you will more than likely will see the same MPGs. :my2cents: (extra icon added to compensate for inflation)
  10. I'm guessing its a 15 gallon tank. My 86.5 d21 2wd had a 15 galloner. Same engine as yourself. Guessing this since the wd21 is based on the d21.

yes!!!! i saw them play that one live.... the mosh pit was the roughest of any yet... so much fun!!!

  12. Now that this has been bumped up, OP- anything to report? I got a brushguard today, so now I have an excuse to get the HDs all around (that is, whenever i'm not poor)
  13. So I guess the amount of turn around time depends on the dealer, then? pix like I say in my thread, not sure what to do. If the dealer here can get it done (correctly) in a timely manner, that makes things easier. To OP- sorry to threadjack. Hope I can get the same results as yourself.
  14. R50's have a 21 gallon tank. 8-10, well damn. If i'm doing mostly highway at 70-75, I can get about 19.whatever. I have a 5 speed and the manual front hubs. With the hubs I saw an almost 2mpg increase on highway trips. Like others have said, check 02 and stuff. Also, might as well do a tune up. Do you still have power and oomphf? Maybe timing is off . . .
  15. 2 Reasons to go to Alaska- 1) No handgun carry permit required to CC 2) The scenerey/wildlife. Oh, nice r50 btw, looks good
  16. oops, I am a little late to the welcoming committee. I still have mixed feelings on what I think about the newer frontiers, but you did yours right
  17. I'd say write down a list of pro's and con's, as well as cost comparisons-I wasn't able to conclude if your other routes entailed getting a different rig for rock crawling? Could always pick up a beater 4x4 and convert it and keep the path to tow or DD
  18. I just started having this today. Ive had new trailing arms and bushings in a few months ago. Problem is i'm 400 miles from home. . . will this be a potential safety problem?

  20. They should fit, from my understanding/research. . .if not, resell em
  21. My wheels are factory 15". 235/75/r15 Tire size Guess you have it different, but why switch?
  22. Someone should get a 4x4 d21 with a camper on it and somehow cram a titan's 5.6 under the hood. Problem, REI?
