  1. Dream set up...Nissan truck and a BMW E36..kudos on the low mileage find! Check out the "BMW Buyers Guide" it has some info on your year and what to look out for. Pix or it didn't happen!
  2. I'm in the same boat man, my summer job has me commuting about 80 miles a day, so I will be using the camry for most of it. However I am on the lookout for a 4cyl d21 as I find that I dont need the 4x4 as much and the crap mpgs aren't really worth it...but its paid for and a great truck...i'd say do waht is financially feasable. If you can afford to trade in and take on a car payment, do it, but also think that the amount of a monthly payment is more than filling up the r50 with gas...just my 5.3443 cents (adjusted for inflation)....
  3. Ive recently seen alot of 4x4 and 4x2 double cab 2nd gen 5 speed frontiers (say that five times fast) if I had the extra cash and wanted to continue with a guzzling 6 cyl motor id trade up to one...I like having an open bed. However my 98 5 speed pathfinder was a hard find...love it though (aside the mpgs). But yeah, it is the American market..we don't want to push that clutch in apparently.
  4. just getting "aboot"- get it, get it? Oh wait we aren't Canadian (Pezzy won't be happy with me for that one)
  5. Nice and sharp! Love the blacked out grille emblem...you just paint it flat black? Sanding?
  6. This should help. RB summed it up. Look at muddfilledvaynes, northernbapthys(hes not on here anymore) and 01silvapathy's build threads, they should give yuo a good idea of what you're looking for.
  7. Props to Phantom...for resurrecting this! I'm closing in the one year mark, sadly it may not be much longer, as gas is nearing $4/gal and I am unemployed time will tell. Other than the mpgs, I love it. Have carried up to about 700lbs in the back, sagging but it torqued right along.

  9. I know this is a very old thread, but i'm wondeirng if OP is still around? How many miles you at now? Pix? Hows it held up?

  11. Sounds liek the death wobble. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=7052
  12. :yeahthat: Crutchfield has excellent service. If you have any issues installing or anything, you call them and they can usually help you fix it. I had to get a dash mount thing for mine when i swapped the factory radio out. Nothing too complicated or expensive. As far as speakers, I need to replace mine, so I can't weigh in on that. To summarise: Crutchfield=good Dash adapter: needed in some models.
  13. Where are you guys finding these ladies? Teach me your ways of acquiring women who want to spend money on their husbands trucks
  14. Personally ill be going with the HD springs in the front when I replace my suspension, as I like a stiffer more truck like ride, even though I have all stock up front and it will stay that way until extra money for the truck is in existence. I figure all the springs cost the same, so why not HD ones? @ OP- why not the Heep coils?
  15. Nice find...looks like you already got some nice rubber on there! How much you scoop it up for, if you don't mind sharing? And what interior mods are planned? DD/weekend warrior or you gonna take out the back seats and put in a bunch of nice stuff? Subscribed :coffee!:
  16. Yo- didn't wannt threadjack your qx4 thread, soill ask you here: With the 2" of lift on your 98 did you notice much of a decrease of mpgs with the lift and the a/t's?

  17. What is your budget looking like? If you are looking for another pathfinder, why not join us with no spines..the (ca)R50..1996-2004. Do it..you know you want to
  18. pix? I want to do this same thing to my car50...
  19. :suicide: :suicide: looks like my suspension upgrade/lift is a long ways off. Thank though
  20. Do you mind letting us know about how much it all cost, parts and install? Ill be going the same route at some point cos I need new struts/shocks/springs..and you did what im prolly gonna end up doing..just wanna know how much its gonna hurt
  21. obvious moose f#@$er is obvious

  22. x2 on the hard to find. We go ours from a guy (2nd owner) about 2.5 hours away...one of the main reasons why I got it
  23. I rmember when that rig was for sale...bumper looks good..how much does it weigh roughly? Gotta love the person snowboarding on the frozen lake
