  1. Ok so out of the lifts on that page I posted from 4x4parts are all of them AC lifts? If so, which is the best for the price and why are the prices so different? (i'm assuming that its because of the brand of parts they come with)
  2. So I'm still kinda new to the whole off-road scene and I'm looking to beef up my '98 R50. Only problem is, I have NO clue what lift to get. I want to put a lift on my pathy. I'm hoping to stay on the cheap side (like below $650) and get the best lift possible. Here is my question: I live in south Louisiana where we have no hills, very few trails, and a TON of mud. 98% of what I do is going to be mudding so I'm really not too worried about getting a lift that can go over huge boulders and down rock cliffs... I'm just looking for something that will give me around 3" of lift. That stated, which is the best lift for me? I've done some research on the forum and found this page with lifts from 4x4parts.com https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/19962004-pathfinder-suspension-packages-c-435_437_341_8_443.html which has all the lifts for my pathfinder but I honestly can't tell any difference except for the price! Am I even looking in the right place? Would a Calmini or OME lift be better? Thanks for all the help. This forum ROCKS!
  3. Im looking for new rims for my R50. These are the ones I'm looking at: American Eagle series 100 http://www.justjeeps.com/images/P/p-32800.jpg Cragar soft 8s (although these are way to common) http://host.eznettools.net/~X354567/cragar_soft8_397_series.jpg I'm really leaning toward the american eagles simply because EVERYONE has the cragar's. I will be putting them on this: I'm also going to put some 31" BFG MT KM2s on them (just fyi).
  4. Sorry if this has been posted before (I did a search and couldn't find anything) but I'm looking to put an aftermarket deck into my '98 and I was wondering which ones would fit. The stock stereo is very large and I'm having trouble finding decks with those dimensions. Will a regular, smaller deck work with some sort of cover over the large gap it would leave? Also, I have 2 6x9s from my old vehicle that I was hoping I could put in the pathfinder. Anyone know of any writeups on how to swap out factory ones for the bigger 6x9? I was kinda hoping to put them in the front doors but anywhere else would work I guess. Thanks

    Sun Roof

I just had a quick question about my sun roof. I got my Pathfinder a couple of days ago and today was the first day I drove with the sun roof open. I noticed that when I got above 30 mph, the wind started whistling really loudly. My question is, is there any quick fix to make this stop? I enjoy the fresh air but it's not worth dealing with the loud noise. Any aftermarket products that would stop it? Or is it just something I have to deal with?
  6. Hi all. I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. When I switch from 4hi to N and down to 4lo, it is fine. However, once I go back into N I can't switch it anywhere without a horrible grinding. To get out of N and back to 2hi (to drive around) I have to turn the vehicle off while in Neutral (tranny). I know the instructions in the manual and most of what I've read say that you just have to be in tranny neutral to shift 4wd modes, not neutral with the vehicle off... This is my first 4wd vehicle so it might be that I'm doing something stupid but from the research I've done on the web (especially this forum) I really don't think I'm doing anything wrong.. Is this normal or is something screwed up?
