  1. @!*%, sorry guys I should've searched before asking. :stickwack: Yeah I was just curious about it. No problems but I just figured i'd consider it.
  2. I recently ran a can o fseafoam in my gas tank about a month ago. I was thinking of pouring it into my engine via the oil fill location on the top. Would this be overkill?
  3. Love when I talk to people woh come in to my work with stories about how their r50s have 180k+ miles on em

pff not even 200k, thats low

  4. BRB changing pants As much as I like the R50, it will never hold the same prestege as a Land Cruiser.
  5. As I have learned from this forum and IH8MUD, with fab skills and the metal ANYTHING is possible
  6. and now you can get this! http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/cto/3355140315.html
  7. When I was in Haiti, I recall the most common 4x4 was the R50 (not counting pick ups here). I was surprised that so many were there, now I know how they get there!
  8. Man, it sounds like a conundrum. Have you tried putting it up on craigslist? If you have the money for a replacement, personally I would go with that (and dont just rely on the carfax as im sure you have learned by naow) Im no real mechanic, but it sounds like theres a good bit of stuff to do. While it should go for another 100k miles, throwing money at something that seems to keep breaking is no fun. So, my suggestion is try craigslist, just say you are selling the whole thing and are not parting out due to time/space limitations. If noone nibbles, then off to the junkyard. It sucks that youd be getting so little for it tho
  9. I had bookmarked the DIY thread on this prior to the change over to nissanpathfinders.net. Now its no longer there, and search has come up with nothing. Can anyone lend a hand? Ill be ordering the cv axles today
  10. It's Oktober? When did that happen!?

  11. Is yours an 89 or 99? If its an 89, maybe ask over in the wd21 section
  12. Water pump on my 98 broke at 153 miles, not sure if it was ever replaced prior to our ownership or not. Didnt go out on me wheeling but it would suck none the less. Preventative maintenance!
  13. Drilled through my bumper, mounted em on either side of the Nissan logo. Now they are on my brush guard.
  14. Didn't know Porsche made the pathfinder as well! You gonna get him to lift it, toss some 35's on there and armor it up? (You can tell ive been spending alot of time on ih8mud )
  15. x2 on saving the $$$. Your truck is set up pretty well. Reead up on how to do water crossings properly, because once that water goes into your air filter box thing, its curtains for your engine (look up pamountainbiker's thread, pretty sure this happened to him). Take a heavy duty strap with you to get towed out with, chains can break. Welcome to the forum
  16. Man it sure is nice, relooking at the pix. Swing out carrier, brush guard, 5 speed, cruise control, power windows/locks and sunroof. Pretty jelly.
  17. I have 0 experience in buying from dealers, but why not take a prinitout of the estimated labor and parts costs from a garage or two or three with you and haggle in accordance, then do the work yourself (that you feel comfortable with). Winning!
  18. I belive as i was flipping through the owners manual for my 98 it shows somethin bout a tow dolly. Why not snag one them, put the front on it and then unbolt the propeller shaft from the back axle?
  19. Sitting on a park bench

  20. Hope I dont get burned at the stake for saying it, but i'm digging the escape you has, steelies ftw! Best color too

  21. Sorry, couldn't resist. Yeahh what nunya said!
  22. From waht I gather, the 2002 should fit. I'm assuming the 99.5 has the 3.5? I would stick with whichever one has hte same engine as yours now. Only issue may come up in the transfer case. However i'm no expert so id wait for someone to confirm or disprove what i have said.
