  1. I got the new truck and yes they fit. Devonion I tried kissing them but I'll probably grind down a bit of the outer edge of the calipers for rim clearance but YES they fit even without it. 31X10.5x15 instead of 265x70x16.
  2. Unless I'm mistaken the'98's don't have a cabin filter...I know mine doesn't.
  3. Started the new truck on it's diet this afternoon. So far it lost the weight of two rear seat bottoms, a set off running board/step thingys, a set of stick on convex mirrors and $3.78 in change from under said seats.
  4. I just brought home the new ugly adopted baby. She was born in 2003 and is 182.7 in. long and now weighs in at a couple of tons. It's name is Silver Chilkoot #2.
  5. If I had to do that much work to get mine running well I'd probably junk it. Oh wait I did just junk mine and it runs puuurfect. To bad it has rotted away underneth. Does anyone want some new recall strut repairs? Mine will come off without tools. What a POS.
  6. Hey Adam let me know what you know what you're looking for. I have a '96 Hardbody as well that parts might fit yours. The Chilkoot has new exhaust, 31X10.5x15 Wranglers, front rotors&brakes all in the last 6 months. Lots of other good stuff.
  7. I bought the new sticker for my licence plates on Tues.(my birthday) so I put it on today and took it for it's last drive. Came home and pulled the plates off and parked it in my juck yard. I'm going to miss the truck but at least I can watch the rest of it rust away in the barnyard. R.I.P. (rust in pieces) to my Chilkoot. Sad day for me.
  8. Would anyone know if 15" rims (from a '98) would fit a truck that originaly had 16" (2003)? I'm thinking on getting a newer truck and have new tires on my '98 that I would like to reuse. I'm just not sure if the 15's would fit over the drums/rotors on the 2003 that comes with 16's.
  9. Glay you got your truck back! Mine drove better after my recall but that is because the strut wasn't tipping into the steering. I don't want to bring you down but if yours is like mine than less than a year after the repairs I have new holes around my recall patches...could probably knock holes all around them with a chipping hammer. And Permatex is usless in Canada in my opinion.

Crap..Not the Moderating eye! I've never been on CL so I don't know the lingo. I'm not very computer smart.
  14. 'k just wondering. I've just never had a place to drive that speed around where I live. I had to follow a tractor and forager yesterday for a few miles....at 30 kphs (slingle lane dirt road).

  17. It's bagging out when accelerating hard at 120 kms? Who is it you're tring to pass?
  18. So far this year I would have to vote for SpecialWarr with "And now I'm bleeding AND the truck won't start" Terranovation with "To flush or not to flush" and Txpath4X4 with "Name that pigtail" Any other opinions?
  19. I found if I put one on a stick beside my lawn chair and light it on fire it keeps the mosquitoes away for a while.
  20. Hello and welcome. Are you raising the truck?
  21. I'd love to put up pics but my computor is lacking the ability. It is a true "barn find" though. It's been there since the early '80's and at the moment is the holder for my 16' canoe that is sitting on it's roof (with racks of course). It is for sale though.
