Next time set the air bags off with your forehead and float across? Sorry about the ECM but on the upside you got a great pic!

My manual says 5W-30. 320,000 and I've never needed to add anything between oil changes.

Mine all have plugs also. But feeding them all back through isn't something I'd do for fun. -
I saw a car with the entire interior filled with popcorn once(wedding prank). But yea I just meant the ECM.

My luck abounds... Is it common for fuel tanks to leak?

I used the Permatex on a metal snowmobile tank before (intregrated tank ,not replacable). 2 part epoxyputty...worked fine on a small puncture. I don't think it would work on a rust hole. If its a rust hole I'd replace it. The tank not the hole. -

I think your first tool would have to be the wire cutters wouldn't it? If it was just the bolts that's one thing but I have heated/power mirrors, window and door lock controls, speakers...did I forget anything? No quick disconnects. I might do it for body work but I wouldn't be grinin'. -
No that would make it a rice rocket.
-
I've read that with water logged cell phones you can pack them in rice to aborb all the water. I wonder if that would help? The ECM not the interior.

Did you have trouble with yours? -
Or put an aluminum ladder on the rack. They howl good enough to "quiet" other noises.

This morning I said screw the snow brush and cleaned the snow drift off the hood, windshield and roof with the snow shovel.

Glad it wasn't 5 pounds of mud on the wife! I just got a '96 Hardbody for around the farm and will probably take the doors off for the summer. I won't be in mud and it'll be better for quicker in's and out's plus easier vision of where the tires are.

The only time mine didn't start turned out to be a fuse for the fuel pump. It hadn't blown but one tab had rotted off and just tapping it would make the pump cut out. I'm not saying that's your problem but that with electrical stuff one small thing can shut you down. Checking through all your conections may turn up something. Good luck.
-
Does it run normaly when it does start? Sounds like you've taken care of the normal fuel stuff. So maybe something with the wiring or distributor?
-
I guess that's my fault. I'll try not to make anymore posts.

Hey would it just take one of those flat sheet metal clips on the inside? Precise- I don't know what they're called but C shaped to fit in a slot around the cable housing(top view). Kind of wave in it to hold tension(side view) ? I think thats what the old Dodge/Plymouths used. -
I would try cleaning both your battery posts and both the cable ends with wire brush, sand paper, file or use a real terminal cleaner. Give both terminals a good twist while pushing down then tighten them. Your new stereo should not affect your starting. That's just my opinion.

Must be nice! I have rust, salt, sand, mud, ice and cow crap from the farm next door. Repete about 6 layers. But no paint under there. -

Hey sorry I couldn't help and wish you the best. Where do you live in Canada? It's small enough maybe you're just around the corner from me. -
I still say it's good enough flame for a Canadian hand warmer.

Much better pic. I'm stumped, the cable housing and the backing plate should be two seperate parts as far as I know. Did someone weld the two togehter for a quicky saftey check? That would only be if they broke off a bolt but no I can't see where the bolt would have gone. Does the passanger side look the same? I was hoping someone with a '93 would have stepped in by now. Unless you can feed the new cable through the old sheathing I just don't know. I'm assuming both ends of the cables have factory ends on them so that wouldn't work. -

Again I'm talking about my '98, is your bolt above or below where the cable passes through? -

Well there should be rubber around where the cable passes though above where it should be bolted but to me it looks to me where your arrow is should be a bolt head. Do you have the drums off yet?
